So I have been re-watching Undeclared, which I watched when it originally aired, and it was extra fun this time because now I know so many of the guest stars; Mary Kay Place, Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler (playing himself and surrounded by his actual entourage), Ben Stiller, Busy Philipps, Jason Segel, David Krumholtz, Kyle Glass (which is extra funny because one of the boys has a Tenacious D poster on his wall), Samm Levine, Martin Starr, Felicia Day & Jenna Fischer. Plus, the leads, Jay Baruchel, Seth Rogen and Charlie Hunnam.

Then my mind suddenly demanded a Teen Wolf College AU where Derek Hale is the grumpy dorm floor R.A. and Scott, Stiles, Jackson, Danny, Ethan, Aidan, Boyd, Isaac, Lydia, Allison, Erica & Cora all live on the floor - (and Greenberg lives in the janitor closet like Perry did on Undeclared). And Scott's mom and Stiles' dad meet at Parents' Weekend and have a flirtation. And I want a whole episode where Lydia realizes that Danny likes Ethan and tries to help him catch Ethan's attention with a cute friendship bonding moment between them. And I want Stiles and Cora to have a sweet friendship but whenever they are in Stiles' room with the door shut, Derek busts the door open and yells "No closed doors in this dorm!" like a protective big brother and then storms out, and also, in general, I need lots of Derek dragging Stiles around by the scruff of his shirt. I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE, YOU GUYS.

This one goes under a cut for NSFW thoughts. )

Also, the other day my sister and I caught a bit of Unstoppable - (aka Chris Pine On A Runaway Train) - and we had this conversation regarding Unstoppable vs Speed:
Sis: I like the premise of this being more man-made disaster rather than a terrorist plot.
Me: Though to be fair, if you have to get a crazy terrorist for your movie, you can't do much better than Dennis Hopper.
Sis: Unless you get Gary Oldman.
Me: John Malkovich.
Sis: Snape. I mean, Alan Rickman.
Me: Yeah, any of those guys.
What do you all think - who else plays a good 'crazy plot to blow things up' kind of guy?

In final news, yesterday my sister had such a bad day. Like, the garage door opener broke, the shower knob came completely off, her work laptop and phone broke, we found out the second garage needs new siding and there wasn't enough charcoal to grill the chicken. She finally gave up and just went to pick up our dinner and just wanted this day to be over and that's when C called to say that the kittens they had found in their yard the day before weren't doing well - (2 of them had passed away) - and she needed help. I told her to send us a picture so we could guess how old they were and then could advise her on what to pick up at the pet store. When I called my sister to tell her all this, she said, "I'm right down the street from the pet store. Tell her I'll just come down there and help her pick out what she needs." Here my sister was having the worst day and she drops everything to help a friend of mine take care of some stray kittens. My sister is awesome, is all I'm saying.

That is all.

Let's start with baseball - and you should just be prepared for this to happen more and more often the closer we get to October. We have an ELEVEN game winning streak going on right now!!! Last night we went fourteen innings before taking the lead and the game. My boy, Don Kelly, is getting a lot of play lately too and that makes me happy. We just won three against Cleveland, which is good because they've been riding our asses all year. (I do miss the White Sox though - we had such a good battle last year, I'm sorry to see what a bad year they are having). Otoh, Nick Swisher is playing for Cleveland now, so it gives me a place to put my rage.

I've been watching 'Camp' this summer and omg, this show is SO much fun! Idk what about it is hitting all my buttons but I am enjoying the hell out of this little summer show! And I am now shipping Grace/Robbie like burning. I just wish the show did a better job of informing us how old the characters are, because we have a variety of age ranges on the actors, playing a mix of high school to college age kids, and it's hard to tell how old the characters are meant to be. But if Grace is 17 (and some throwaway lines indicate she may be) then shipping her with Robbie just got way less creepy than when I thought she was 15. God, Robbie needs to break up with Sarah. Grace would make such a good rebound relationship for him! Ugh, I Need It.

Also, ‘This Is The End’ has kind of ruined everything for me, in that it randomly pops into my head at inopportune moments. Like watching a SYTYCD routine with these gorgeous white costumes and this beautiful look to it and BAM, the final scene from ‘This Is The End’ popped into my head and ruined the whole thing! Thanks, Seth Rogen, thanks a lot. Also, I have been pulled into the sidelines of the Pacific Rim fandom this summer via The BFF and her tumblr and her rampant squee - (albeit totally deserving rampant squee) - and the other day I was flipping through a filmography on IMDB and one of the movies was 'Big Fat Gypsy Gangster'. I scrolled past it twice and each time I read the word 'gangster' as 'Danger'. I was insistent there was a movie titled 'Big Fat Gipsy Danger'. I completely blame The BFF for this. She's a ruiner. Ruiner, I tell you! Also, she accidentally left her car unlocked the other day and someone broke into it, rifled around and then stole her bag of dark chocolate M&Ms. That’s right - someone broke into The BFF’s car, left her GPS and her radio and whatever else she had in there and just stole her bag of M&Ms. I hope they ate too many and threw up afterwards!

Finally, my little brother & family are spending the night tonight so that my sister can go with them to Michigan Adventure amusement park first thing in the morning. Which means I will get the whole house to myself for about nine hours tomorrow! I plan to art, play my music super loud, get some writing in, spend the whole day in my bra and jeans, finish catching up on my TV, watch some baseball, sing at the top of my lungs and possibly post a fic. Enjoy your weekends all!

So, the one other thing we did over the Birthday Weekend was Sunday evening, The Sister and I went to see "This Is The End." I have never laughed so much during a movie in my life. Not even kidding. It's funny-stupid in the way that Zoolander is funny-stupid and also in the way that Seth Rogen movies are funny...but more-so because they were ripping on themselves the whole movie. I mean, the premise is what would Seth Rogen and his friends do in an apocalypse? And clearly they realize that the correct answer would be...Freak Out and Flail Everywhere! There's this scene in Knocked Up where Paul Rudd & Seth Rogen's characters go to Vegas and do ‘shrooms and Paul won't stop freaking out about the height of the chairs in the hotel. That scene made me laugh until I cried tears...and This Is The End was like the Vegas Chair scene for 90% of the movie. Also, Jay Baruchel was the lead in it and I have had a crush on him for years, so that was a lovely treat. And the cameos! Omg, the cameos! I don't want to ruin it but you guys, they seriously got every person they have ever known in their life to be in this movie! Which is half of what made it so damn funny. It did have that crude humor that Rogen movies often have, so it is not for the easily offended (or those squicked by projectile vomiting), but it was so fucking funny!

The movie was based off a fake trailer that Seth & Jay made for youtube for funsies called 'Jay and Seth Versus The Apocalypse', that is basically them trapped in a room in their underwear at the end of days. But then apparently Seth was like, "Hey, that would be kind of funny. We could just make a whole movie on that shit. And get Franco to be in it." (Franco was the best riff because he played himself as this pretentious douchehole hipster). I read this interview with Seth that said about a month before shooting started, the studio got nervous and said they didn't think it would work with the guys all playing themselves. So Seth tells them, 'It's cool, we'll just shoot two versions and one will be where we aren't playing ourselves.' Only they didn't. And Seth was like, ‘This has to work!’ through the whole shoot because they had nothing else to take to the studio.

Jay & Seth VS The Apocalypse and This Is The End trailer under the cut. )

Seriously, I laughed so hard that I was flushed and overheated and exhausted by the time the movie was over. I had to come home and lay down in bed with the fan on me for like ten minutes just to recuperate. Hysterical, you guys.
