Oh, all the Step Up movies are stupid, that's half the fun! But this one seemed to particularly have a slap-pasted script to go with it, yes?
watch the dancing scenes a second time and they didn't hold my interest. I think the novelty of the "mob" approach made it interesting the first time around but the choreography wasn't that special.
I can see that as as being true - everything was very 'big' and 'over-the-top' which was visually stunning but yeah, maybe wouldn't hold up so well.
The end scene for #2 was interesting and very cool in that it was all done in the rain and #3 had the LED glow in the dark thing going for it , but #4 just had that 'big grand' thing going on that I enjoyed because my eye never knew where to look (hi, yes, distracted by shiny things). Now I just wish someone would put out a DVD with all the dance scenes from all the movies, so I could just watch the dance sequences and skip the rest of the blahblahblah. ;)
