Remember this Goober-of-Love thread? I don't expect you to 'cos it's two months out but I'm dredging it up anyway 'cos I feel like it. *g*
No, I did NOT remember this thread, but I always love to talk about The Afflecks!
I feel like it because we were all excited for The Town
I never got to see The Town. I really wanted to but I couldn't talk anyone into going. Right now I really want to see "Red" and I want to see "127 Hours" - but I think "Red" really needs to be seen on the big screen. I can't find anybody to go see those either. Damn my lame friends.
Matt as the comparison of Jensen? Veeery interesting. This had never occurred to me. I mean, I think Jensen is immensely talented and I worry that he'll get type-cast as Dean Winchester when Supernatural is over. Like he'll never be able to break out of the Dean Winchester stereotype. But the level of Matt Damon? Wow. We're talking full out A-list Hollywood movie star. I just never saw Jensen going that way. Not for lack of ability, but I dunno. I wouldn't be surprised if he began directing more regularly. "Weekend at Bobby's" was a great start.
Yeah...I don't know that Jensen will rise to that level, but I think if he wanted to, if he put himself into it, he could. He has the charisma and the looks and the talent and the knowledge of how to work and be professional and just...idk, I think he could if he were dedicated enough to pursue it.
But I think it is more likely he will go into TV directing. I wouldn't be surpised to see Jensen running his own show in another ten years. His knowledge of how the industry works would really help him out on the that and frankly, The Incestuous CW Orgy Cult would be stupid to ever let him go. I wouldn't be surprised if he worked for them until he died (and then afterwards too!)
Going back to the Goober, did Ben ever do another film with J-Lo?
Gigli - imdb says this "The violent story about how a criminal lesbian, a tough-guy hit-man with a heart of gold, and a retarded man came to be best friends through a hostage."
Seriously, wtf? I've never seen it and as much as I love Ben, I never will. But totally check out Jersey Girl. After Dogma, it's Kevin Smith's best movie. Though I will always have a soft spot for Mallrats.
Okay, I think I've put this thread to rest now. (Yeah, I'll wait til you reply and then bite my tongue. Our threads refuse to die, dammit! And don't crack a zombie joke!)

Nope, no joke - just using my zombie icon. ;)
