Thank you! I feel very accomplished and I did even better in the month of June, actually. I think I might actually break 100,000 words this year. Eep.
I'm seeing a threesome theme up there lol.
It was a birthday fic for someone and it just took me so long to write because I was, /cough/ 'enjoying myself' /cough/, too much while writing it. I'm wracking my brain trying to remember how many threesomes I have written at this point but I think it is only two (or 3, if you count that one Gen Leverage fic with threesome vibes to it).
The newest original fiction I'm working on (and hoping to get published, if not will self publish like the others) is a long threesome story.
YAY!! That is excellent news - I want to read that! I am actually interested in reading a good story that shows how hard it is to manage an actual relationship with three people, plus all the pros of such a relationship. I have mostly read PWPs and Kink fic for threesomes but I would love a good solid relationship story for one.
I think poly is interesting to write, but different because of the three main voices and trying to give them equal time and get fairness with in the relationship. How are you finding it?
Well, to be fair, mine have both been PWPs (and that one Gen Leverage fic was more humor than anything) and they have all been short. So I've never tried to work out the relationship aspect of a threesome. But as for PWP writing, the hardest part is remembering not to leave someone on the sidelines for too long. Having Guy A and Guy B doing things with each other and then 2k words later realizing Guy C has been completely absent this whole time - which I imagine is the same problem in writing a relationship, making sure they all have equal time on the page or in the relationship itself.
The only other thing I noticed was that writing a M/M/F fic was easier than writing a M/M/M fic simply because a) less penises to worry about and b) was able to be more creative in who was doing what, because I got to mix it up with different body parts. Plus less struggling with all the 'he's and 'him's in the fic.
