I find it completely astonishing that the guy in the third video was anywhere near the bottom of anything - that dance was freaking AWESOME, and I thought that they balanced each other perfectly.
It was his best performance all season! I think until now he has kind of coasted on his winning personality, because while he is AMAZING at the styles for a hip-hop dancer with no other sort of training, he isn't as good at a lot of the stuff as some of the more trained dancers. But everyone loves him because he is adorable and sweet and has so much enthusiasm (which anyone will tell you, counts a LOT in dance). And now that they were down to the bottom 8 dancers or so, you start to get people in the bottom that really don't do deserve to be there - but you know, someone has to be! That said, that dance was astounding and he should NOT have been in the bottom. Tonight they send home their last two and then we are down to the Final Finals, so I cross fingers now. Three of my four favs are still in this!
Maybe they're setting up to fire the little gossip whore next season? With huge amounts of drama?
No. Adam - the head of the company - does not roll like that. He doesn't do pretend-drama for the sake of the cameras. I honestly think he picked Drama kid because the other dude he was up against tends to get really frustrated when he makes a mistake and lose his cool, while Drama kid just brushes it off (though maybe Adam doesn't realize that is because Drama kid doesn't take his dancing as seriously?) and also because I think Adam felt like he needed a dancer he wasn't tall and skinny, to fill those parts in the ballets that are for less conventional characters (like the kid is playing the court jester in Cinderella). That's my take on it.
Tell me when they get into the good rehearsal shows, okay? :)
They are through with casting and contracts, so it's probably rehearsals and performances from here on out.
