So much stuff is only on AO3 these days - especially in certain fandoms of mine, like Teen Wolf & Justified, that I am reading over there more and more (when I actually get a chance to read anything). Also there are some fandoms that I have written in that you can't even find a crosspost community here on LJ - like Falling Skies. I want to put that fic up and have people actually see it!
I can't handle posting to more than DW and LJ,
That was never my problem with it - it was just having too many places for my things, losing control of my stuff and where it is. I will NEVER post a fic on Tumblr because once it's out there, you have absolutely NO control over what happens to it and I am SO not down with that. But after learning how to do shit over on AO3, I feel better about it - less anxious about the control aspect of it. It's easy to post too. I figure if I spend 15 minutes crossposting and tagging to LJ communities, I can spend 5 extra minutes putting it up on AO3.
probably wouldn't even have a DW account if not for the ways that LJ sometimes fucks things up. :D
I know I should get a DW account, just because I will be sad the day I go to log onto LJ and it is gone. I need a backup place for my journal, just so I don't lose everything when LJ goes down. (and I feel like it will someday). I also keep thinking I need to use that PDF program and turn my entire journal into a PDF, so I have it saved somewhere. I am lazy though. So I haven't done that yet.
