How confusing for that poor little boy. I hope he doesn't end up traumatized by the experience. I think it's wonderful that he's growing up bilingual.
I think he'll be okay, but I hope his sister got in trouble for telling him that and scaring the crap out of him. The daycare workers all speak French, so they won't understand if he speaks English, but he certainly won't be in trouble for it. The bilingual thing is great for them, but has been hard for us because we only understand half of what comes out of their mouths! lol In Quebec, where they live, the language is mainly French, but since my brother is American and speaks English, they are getting both!
