Into The Page.
Apr. 29th, 2013 03:18 pmSo, last year,
wolfrider89 and I challenged each other to post a piece of our own original poetry in honor of National Poetry Month. I thought I'd do it again this year and I think she is going to as well! Since the month is almost over, I thought I'd better get on that.
I haven't written any poetry since my early twenties, so all of my options are rather old. But I ended up picking out something I wrote back when I was around 13 or 14. It's about the power of writing and being a writer and I find it comforting that I wrote this more than twenty years ago and here I am, still writing. The formatting on it is odd, so rather than try to replicate it by typing it out again, I just went and scanned the original in. I'm not as nerve-wracked about sharing this as I was with my piece last year, which is nice as well. Enjoy!
