I made a few pieces for Christmas gifts. It's been a long time since I managed to make anything that looks like anything. I have a limited range of what I am good at, so my paintings all end up in generally the same style. I tend to give them all away and a few years back it occurred to me that I have given away a dozen or so pieces and never took a photo or scanned them into my computer or anything first. So I have nothing to really show for my work except the two pieces I kept for myself. This time I got smart and scanned and photographed them, so when I give them away, I can at least have an image to show for it.
YAY. DRESSING UP FOR EVERY HOLIDAY IS FINE. If people can wear santa hats and christmas cracker hats and shit... oh, and you can always go for the Who look, like Brittany *nods* that was pretty awesome. (I usually go for the pj's until 4 in the afternoon & then a dress for dinner though).
Hahaha, it's amazing how well I would be able to pull off the Little Cindy Lou Who look too - I look remarkably like the kid in the cartoon. It's creepy. We always have Christmas dinner at 2pm at the grandparents farm and as a kid it was obnoxious because I wanted to stay home and play with my toys and eat crap and be in pjs all day. Now this year Grandpa is in his 90s and can't do a big holiday gathering so well, so everyone is just going to visit them as they have time - and I'm kind of sad about it. On the other hand, it looks like some of us cousins with no other family obligations that day might go to the movies, so that will be good.
Oh, and jsyk; I blame you for our family christmas New year's card this year XD
