Thanks, babe! The BFF and I were flipping channels and found a Star Wars marathon, so we ended up watching that all night on New Years!

Did you do anything fun?

We ended up passing on the trip to Rochester, for which I'm grateful; apparently, it took our real estate agent's family NINETEEN hours to get home to Buffalo (usually a ten-twelve hour driving trip). That would have SUCKED. I'm also glad to have had the extra week at home to recover from that awful cold that whacked me in the brains and body at the start of Christmas break; I think if we HAd traveled, I would still be sick upon returning to school Monday (I don' wanna gooooooooooo, don't make me!).

Instead, we'll visit TAHtm's family over Spring Break, which will allow us to celebrate both St. Paddy's and his birthday with them.

For NYE, we stayed home and snuggled while watching a Doctor Who marathon. It was very nice indeed.

Happy New Year. And according to what I've been reading about the Mayan calendar, it's really more like a new era starting rather than the world ending. Let's hope it's a way better era than the previous one.

I can get behind that theory! I like the idea of a fresh start.

I saw this really funny comic strip about how the Mayans just ran out of space on their circle calendar thing and that is why the calendar ends and then the two Mayans were laughing and saying, "Oh man, someday the way this calendar just abruptly stops is really going to freak someone out!"

Let's hope it's a way better era than the previous one.
