On The Next Episode Of...

So, first off, last night we had my cousin's 10 yr old daughter spend the night. We try to, every once in awhile, have her over for a Girl's Night. She really enjoys that extra female attention, I think. We played some Wii Sports - (she rules at tennis, I rule at bowling) - and she told us a million stories - (you guys think I can spin a tale, you should hear her). And while we were explaining to her that the cats would come see her on their own schedule because you can't get a cat to do anything they don't want to do, she said, "Yeah. Like men." OMG, she is 10, where did she hear that?! After dinner we played two games of Simpsons Clue and ate cupcakes she brought from her Mom's baby shower. We also watched her current favorite movie, Pitch Perfect. She not only knows all the words to all the songs, but she knows all the dialogue for the movie too! This morning, after Sunday breakfast with my mom, my sister took her to the movies. Apparently at breakfast she was telling everyone who would listen about her special Girl's Night with her cousins!
But that's all the fun I get because the rest of the week is going to be insane.
On Monday I have two routine medical tests, (no pain required), but for the first one I can't eat for 6 hours ahead of time and for the second one I have to spend like an hour and a half in a pitch dark room. Which means, no food for six hours, then drive an hour to the university hospital, have the test, shove food in as fast as I can, go to the next test, try to keep my eyes open for an hour and a half in a dark room because it is a visual test and I have to be awake, and then drive home during rush hour - 7 hours after I started getting ready in the first place. I get car sick, and with no food on the way there and exhaustion on the way back, chances are, I will throw up in my sister's car.
Tuesday I have to go to my Medicaid hearing. I haven't even told you guys about this shitstorm because I kept thinking it would get sorted and I could tell you the whole tale once I had a resolution. But it has been going on since March and now I am finally getting in front of a judge and there better be some ass-kicking up in that room. I will tell you the whole sordid affair once it's all worked out. Anyways, while I am excited to finally get my day in court, it is going to be nerve-wracking and stressful. And I get to follow it up by going to physical therapy.
Wednesday my mom is finally, hopefully, having all of her teeth pulled. This is attempt #4 and I think if the doctors say she isn't well enough this time, they probably won't even try again. Having all her rotting teeth pulled will do wonders for her health - (they got that way because of the dry mouth syndrome she has). But she has to be well enough to have it done, but without it being done, she will never be well enough. See the catch? This time they are trying it in the hospital, in the operating room, with a bunch of doctors. She has to go under for it though and the last time she went under for a surgery the anhestiologhist - (uh, spelling?) - said that she should never go under again unless it was a life or death scenario because she stopped breathing on the table and she shouldn't be put under. It'll go one of three ways: they'll send her home without doing it (again), or they'll do it and it'll all go fine and be the best thing for her ever, or she'll stop breathing on the table and/or get an infection after the fact and die. Idek.
It's going to be a very stressful week, is my point here! I will let you all know about Mom as soon as I can. And I hope you all have good weeks!

Date: 2014-08-16 08:10 pm (UTC)Thank you so much for the support! Not so much ass-kicking but it still ended with a good outcome for me, so I'll take it! Talked with Mom today and she sounded really good. <3

Date: 2014-08-11 12:37 am (UTC)It might help you to know that there's a new MCU/AoS fic on my journal, with Darcy and Fitz in it. :)
I will SO be thinking of you.

I saw! I have them open and they keep calling to me! Both the Fitz/Darcy and the Revolution fic!

Date: 2014-08-13 11:00 pm (UTC)It seems to always be the way with medical appointments, they all come at once and you get stuck running around all week. I hope all the tests go well. Tests when you can't eat or drink normally suck (I'm not allowed to drink for like the next ten hours because of a kidney test I'm having whines)As for the dark room? There just asking for people to fall asleep.
I don't know what's going on with your medicaid, but I wish you lots of luck in court. If you need to chat or vent I'm always avilable to listen, you can shoot me an email or a tumblr message any time, even if you just need to ramble to decompresses from the stress.
Using my Frank icon because he's had a bunch of health issues, so it seemed right for this post.
*hugs*

In this case, I did them all in one day on purpose. (yes, I am insane!) That way my sister only has to take one day off of work to take me, instead of two.

It was just an ultrasound, but not the not being able to eat and then having to ride in the car is a bad combo for me. I managed not to throw up though, so bonus!!

Thank you, babe! I will keep that in mind - it is appreciated. <3 Most of the time when I have the need to vent it is also when I am too tired to muster the effort to actually vent.
:( But sometimes it is good to vent it all out!

Date: 2014-08-18 07:00 pm (UTC)Not throwing up is definitely a bonus, I hope the test went well and they found what they were looking for.
been there! That's why I love having internet on my phone, things like twitter I can get on and get in touch with people real quick. But sometimes you don't even have the energy for that, but when you do. I'm here.
Emails and tumblr messages I get even when I don't get on my laptop (again yay for phone) Sorry it took a while to get back to your messages. I know you saw my post that I had a big day/night out. I did a lot and it put me on my ass for days, but it was a great day, worth the pain. Mini complain while I'm here. I have a damn cold now ugh
Oh I was telling a friend about what I'm making you, he's big into vampires and he wants me to work on something for him at some point. So you may have got me another job!

Date: 2014-08-20 09:13 pm (UTC)That is AWESOME! So cool, babe! Which reminds me, I want to lay out the pieces for the costume that I have so far and take a picture for you, to give you an idea of what I am wearing.

Date: 2014-08-21 12:29 am (UTC)I need to send you a picture of a steampunk necklace I've made and not listed on esty yet. It's simple, which I think makes it wearable every day, but pretty. Pics of earrings I have are up for you to show bestie, but I'm happy to make something else there as well.
I'm planning to take pics of all the finished pieces and post them a few places and have custom bracelets as a new option on esty. Like 'if you like this I can do you similar, but all one of a kind'
I won't ramble too much here, but I meant to ask are there any charms you'd really like? Like cogs are a must, but things like I cold included cats? Bats? Anything really. I'm sure I can find most things. I've already found a bunch of stuff I think will work to mix the steampunk and vampire theme.
