It's Billy Boyd's birthday! Which I post about every year. The first year I had this journal, I just happened to be on the computer and realized it was his birthday and so made a post about it. And now it's become a thing. That I do every year. For no apparent reason. Other than that Billy is the best.

CUZ BILLY IS THE BEST.

Anyone disagree with that statement? Didn't think so.

ION, spending the weekend marathoning Arrow so my sister can catch up and hanging with Sis and The BFF, cooking out, and generally chilling in probably the first relaxing weekend we've had all summer. The summer has been great and full of lots of fun and socializing, but it'll be nice to just hang and put our feet up this weekend. What about you all - how do your weekends look to be shaping up?

I'm going to be having a busy weekend but in a good way. Friday is the library booksale and before that I'm turning in my paperwork for being a substitute teacher. Then on Saturday, I'm volunteering at a yard sale to benefit an organization my parents volunteer with. Since I'm here on my own, I've been doing a lot of writing and I'm hoping to actually finish and post some stories soon.

That all sounds like the perfect fun weekend while still being nice and low key. I saw the cool teapot thing you bought at the sale - very unique looking!

We're going to have some people over Sunday afternoon and evening, but it's going to be at least partly rainy, so pool time may be limited.

I will HAVE to bring home some school work, sadly; it's the end of the pre-progress report time, and I have lots of papers to grade. Waaaaaah!

Yeah, it was either muggy here or raining all weekend, but since we were mostly parked in front of the TV, it's all good!

This is so bizarre to me because last week was the first week I saw the school buses here - out doing their test runs for their routes, so they would be ready on the first day of school, which is tomorrow. We start back tomorrow and you are already at progress report time! 8)

The rain totally held off for the entire day, so we got great pool time AND introduced my dear friend's husband to the opening episodes of Buffy - he had seen some scattered episodes, but now he's getting the Treatment. And when they left, he asked her if Buffy was available on Netflix! Ha!

I graded a lot Friday night, while TAHtm was still at work, and finished up the grading and lesson planning today. That meant we had two completely school-free days for our three day weekend. I felt very smug at my awesome self-discipline in working Friday night for five hours or so....

Yes, Billy is the best. I've seen him at cons and playing with BeeCake several times. Super talented and super nice lad.

Shut up, Jack is NOT eight! OMG, Jack IS eight! 8) When did this happen?! I feel so old. And I know logically that Billy is 46 but that also seems stunning to me - (plus he doesn't even look 46!)

Oh, I am so jealous. I got to met Sean Astin once, which was totally cool, but I'd flip to meet Billy. Or, really, I think I'd love to see him play even more - I love his voice. He was always my favorite LOTR cast member.

I've met all of the hobbits and many others from the LOTR cast at cons or elsewhere. Billy and his band played at one of the cons I attended. Everyone in the LOTR cast is warm, friendly and loves the fans. Good times that I'll never forget.

I think the one where he is being more serious and in the leather jacket is the most recent of the bunch. (I believe it is a promo for his band). He still looks exactly the same practically unless you put a beard on him and only then does he look different because his beard is going grey. Like, here you go (http://top.de/stars/6AEW-billy-boyd), one where you can see the beard and all the grey but just take the beard off and he still looks like our wee little Pippin!

I'll be spending Saturday helping my mom start to pack her stuff in boxes so she can start the moving process, and Sunday I'll be visiting friends who are having a housewarming party for their new house.

Oh, yes, I heard about your Mom moving in with you! Normally I would say that's a disaster in the making, lol, but you and your mom have such a nice friendship. I feel like it is more akin to when my sister and I moved in together, which worked out beautifully! Plus, omg, Pip is going to be ecstatic to have his Gammie with him all the time!

Hope the housewarming party was enjoyable!

It turned out not to be nice enough for cooking out here either. My sister managed to do it, just because we have a over-hang next to the grill - so even though it was both muggy and raining here, we got the food cooked and just ate inside. In front of the TV. Like classy fangirls!
