Things.
Thing 1). Roo is sick. Retaining fluid. Vet says it is a parasite that has laid dormant for years and is attacking now that his immune system is weak and he is older. Dangerous though because of his heart murmur. Still waiting to see if the medicine is working.
Thing 2). Lost my debit card. Think I left it on the table at the restaurant. Didn't realize it for a week and a half, as I mostly use it for online shopping and all my info is already in all my accounts online. Thankfully no one used it and after almost two weeks of waiting, I have a replacement.
Thing 3). My fatigue is not getting better, but I am getting better at managing it and handling the stress of flare ups - though always disappointed when I have to bail on plans. It's a chronic illness, it will never go away. It's a degenerative illness, so no matter what I do, it will always slowly get worse. This has just been a bigger set back then I am used to, is all. My new normal, I will learn to work with it.
Thing 4). I got a Rent-A-Swag tee for my birthday - (Parks and Rec fans on here?) - since Tommy is my man! Yesterday my sis took me to the art store and we got all kinds of bling to decorate the shirt with, as it is kind of plain looking. So that'll be a fun project for Sis and I to do together.
Thing 5). This weekend we celebrate my sister's birthday - which is the 15th - by going to see Jurassic World in IMAX 3D. If you have been following this journal, for any time at all, you know how I feel about the JP movies, so I am excited. Taking The BFF and The Nephew too and then going to a Mexican restaurant after per Sis' request.
That is all. For now!

2. That's about as great as it gets for a lost card - I'm sure you were relieved.
3. :( Crumbling cookie, anyone?
4. Who's utterly ignorant? This girl. But I'm glad you're going to have fun with decorating it!
5. I WANT TO GO SEE IT THIS WEEKEND! But we will probably wait until Monday so that the movie theatre and mall are much emptier...

I was very relieved. A little annoyed when I had to spend like two weeks with no card at all, as it was canceled and the new one hadn't come yet and I kept trying to buy things online like through ITunes and stuff and then realizing, like, oops, my card is invalid. But yeah, it could have been worse. I only had $200 in my account but $200 is good money for me plus dealing with the bank if they overdrafted would have been a bitch. The restaurant probably found it and saved it but as it was an out of town place, I didn't even bother to check.

That is a good metaphor. It's still delicious and I mean, come, cookies, but yeah, crumbling and going stale.
4. Who's utterly ignorant? This girl. But I'm glad you're going to have fun with decorating it!
Parks and Recs is awesome! You should totally watch it! TAHtm would like it too! But my man is Tommy and he is played by Aziz Ansari.

Pratt was adorable as ever, of course, and I liked that the kids actually had character development. It was a good scary time!

I look forward to hearing your review of Jurassic World. That looks pretty cool.

Yeah, The BFF saw it twice because she loved it the first time but was overwhelmed and knew she was missing nuances that she wanted to catch. I figured it'd be good, but I saved all my energy for Jurassic World, cuz DINOSAURS!!!

I am a huge fan of the franchise, in particular the original movie and the subtle and not so subtle homages and mirrors of the original in JWorld were amazing. The concept of the park was visually stunning, the characters were awesome even though predictable, (but thats what you want in a JP movie) badass and the raptors and the TRex and the water dinosaur were seriously the real heroes of the movie. There were funny moments and adrenaline fueled moments and ridiculous cheesy moments and it was everything I wanted in a JP movie. Except ,of course, that there was no Dr. Ian Malcolm.

I'm sorry to hear about Roo and your fatigue. Life just keeps taking swings at us. But what great news that your debit card wasn't abused. Whew!
*hugs you*

I told her you said so! The IMAX 3D of Jurassic World is an experience she (and I and The Nephew) will never forget!
But what great news that your debit card wasn't abused. Whew!
It really was a relief! Though I didn't have a ton of money in my account, the headache and stress of dealing with the bank and all had it been breached would have been overwhelming. Whoever picked it up and saved it for me, they are truly amazing!

2) damn girl! you are one lucky ducky
3) the fact of the illness sucks, but I am very glad you are doing better emotionally. At least a little bit anyway.
4) yay?
5) happy b-day to your sis! I'm on the 'meh' side of the JP franchise, but I wasn't a dinosaur kid when I was little so maybe that's it. Hope you guys have a wonderful time!

I have never lost or misplaced a debit/credit card before. but I know it could have been so much worse. What's weird is that someone recently hacked both my sister's and my bff's cards and used them to like buy groceries and stuff, but my card that was lost ended up just fine. Whew.

I am feeling very mildly better and I can't quite tell if it is because I am handling it better emotionally or because I am actually feeling better, but either way, I have the slightest bit more energy and that is good.
4) yay?
Total yay! I love the character of Tommy Haverford (played by Aziz Ansari) and now I have a shirt from 'his store' and I get to do a art project and bling it out!
5) happy b-day to your sis! I'm on the 'meh' side of the JP franchise, but I wasn't a dinosaur kid when I was little so maybe that's it. Hope you guys have a wonderful time!
I told Sis you said so! WHAT DO YOU MEAN MEH TO JP!!!!??? HOW ARE WE FRIENDS???!!! I wasn't a dinosaur kid either but come on, it's the perfect movie! The right amount of cheesy, funny, action packed movie, plus I have vivid memories of seeing it in the theater, the first ever Dolby Digital Surround Sound movie I ever saw! (while JWorld ended up being the first movie I ever saw in IMax 3D!) It is one of my comfort movies, along with Independence Day and Deep Impact. I go to the JP franchise when I need a familiar hug.

Ok, ok,:D I have heard nothing but good stuff about Jurassic World. It totally sounds like a movie I will like. It's gonna have to wait til Netflix or something, but it's on my list
