I don't have a writing icon. That is sad. So I'm using this icon, because really, my babble about my writing will probably make you snoozy. ;)

I started trying to write for 500 words/a half hour everyday since the beginning of the month.

For a weekly total of 3,500 words.

Last week I wrote on only three days, but still managed 4,222 words.

This week I didn't write all week, at all...until last night, when I apparently decided to do my entire week in one night - 3,792 words.

It was pretty late and I had just come off of having The Nephew for the weekend, so I was mildly incoherent. Which leads me to wonder if any of it was comprehensible or not...but I still typed actual words, so yay me!

Most importantly, I finished a Dean/Cas fic that I have been working on since August. August, peoples. And it is only like 4,500 words, so not epic or anything. I had one scene left to go and I could not get it. For months. But I finished it and that, more than the word count, has made me happy.

I also finished my Thanksgiving fic, which I just started the week before. I was a little worried I wouldn't get it done by, you know, Thanksgiving - (wee!Sammy would not stop chattering away like a crack monkey!). I was mostly worried because I let it sit for a few days without working on it, and that is usually the thing that causes me to never be able to pick something back up again. But I finished my Thanksgiving fic too!

I finished fic! Seriously, I sound like a crazy person right now, but my list of unfinished fics just keeps getting longer, so it is a relief to know I have the ability to write the words "The End".

Okay, that is all.

Yay! Post your Dean/Cas fic! I wanna read your Dean/Cas fic! (Because I'm also kinda selfish and am trying to get into the mood of Dean/Cas. My next fic will be my first attempt at Dean/Cas and I don't think I've read that pairing since the start of the year. It's November.)

Btw, do you need a beta? My schedule is light enough to take on a job this week and 4500 words is not a lot for me. I'm a pretty good beta (even though I haven't beta-ed anything in years. Erm . . . probably should not have told you that). Just tell me what you want/need. And if you have another beta lined up, it's all good.

Yay as well for the Thanksgiving fic! I know what you mean about holiday-related fic. The deadlines are unmovable and these fics generally follow certain themes or conventions of the season. I suck majorly at holiday fics even though I want to write them. (Like this past Halloween? I had all these ideas but didn't dare touch any of them.)

You don't sound crazy for finishing fic. It's an achievement. This, my dear, is precisely why I'm a one-fic, one-fandom, one-pairing at a time girl. *waggles eyebrows*

Let me know about the Dean/Cas!

This is weird! Get out of my head, woman!! I don't use a beta anymore, for I am lame and lazy, I guess. I left the internet and everything I wrote after that was just for me, my sis and The BFF, so I didn't use a beta obvs. But since I have been back to the internets, I just was like whatever about it.

Except this time, with this fic, I was looking through my Flist, wondering who I felt comfortable enough with and that was into Dean/Cas at all, that could maybe take a look at this one fic for me. Because I have been struggling so much with it. I have been working on it for so long now, that I can't tell anymore if it is any good or if it makes any sense.

So more than anything, I just need a fresh pair of eyes.

And of all the fic I have written/posted, I have never cared one way or another about a beta, nor has anyone offered. Until last night, when I finished the fic and went to bed thinking, "I should have someone else look that over." And here you are.

I am weirded out.

And grateful.

Thanksgiving Fic came to me a few weeks ago, but I just needed to spend some time with The Nephew to get that extra inspiration for wee!Sammy. It is adorable weechesters, but because it is me, there is also some mini-angst in there too. And Bobby wears an apron. And there is pie, because that is what Thanksgiving is really all about.

Well, you know me, I am a slut, even for fic writing. I just wrote two SPN fics! Not CW RPS! Oh whew, I maybe don't have The CW Sickness Plague after all.

Yeah, so I lost your email when Stewart died in The Great Computer Crash last year, so PM me that shit and I can send you the Dean/Cas. Do you have Word or should I transfer it to something else?

Thank you, I would tell you that I love you, but we don't get schmoopy with each other. /one armed hug with an extra pat thrown in/

Yay!!! Way to go! I am trying to finish four things during nano -- one I've been writing since February, one is from LAST October, and one is from so long ago I can't even remember. The fourth I haven't started, but it's due December 3, so I damn well better get a plot and write it. I would LOVE to finish something. The last thing I wrote and finished was for the reverse big bang, and I was so excited to post it b/c it was DONE! I accomplished something! I wish you much joy for your accomplishment, and best of luck on finishing all your fics!!!

Thanks! Actually finishing stuff is hard, isn't it? I have a backlog of things I wrote from before I had an Lj at all, and yet when I do post fic, it is usually something I just finished, because I am so excited to share it. If it makes you feel any better, I have a fic from about eight years ago that is unfinished, so...

But when, when will you write more Summer Realm? (what? It's been awhile since I poked you for it, thought it was time. Wants!) :)

He hadn't watched all of the prior movies when Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back came out, so he missed a ton of the in-jokes while I was chortling like an idiot; in all fairness, that wasn't much fun for him. In his defense, he does enjoy Dogma, though (it's my favorite, too).

My cousin did that too, took some people to see Strikes Back who had never seen the others and it was a bad idea - those people have a very low opinion of Kevin Smith now. I, however, find Strikes Back to be hysterical fun.

But Dogma is by far the best. It is almost a completely different kind of movie than he usually makes. I mean, it's still Kevin, but it's just...I don't know, better than the others. But I will also always have a soft spot in my heart for Mallrats forever. And if you haven't seen it, I rec Jersey Girl. It is fun and cute and heartfelt, but not, you know, with Jay & Silent Bob, cuz it's not that kind of movie.

Jersey Girl is one that I haven't seen; I think I skipped it because it didn't have the guys in it!

You should give Jersey Girl a try. It is different from his other movies, and yes, no J&SB, but it is still funny and that really dry smart wit Kevin has and the casting was excellent, plus George Carlin. I highly rec it.

Hard to turn down some George Carlin, I must admit! Perhaps I'll Netflix it tomorrow in my solitary holiday splendor....

Yay! Write, write! I wish I could punch out almost 4k words in one night. The only time I managed that, it was like pulling teeth, and I only managed because the deadline was the very next day and my beta hadn't gotten to work on it yet. :P

Looking forward to reading your Dean/Cas fic! And the others as well, of course!

I'm writing! (well, obvs not at the moment, but...)

I used guilt to push myself through to get the word count that night. I was like, "You will not fail on week 2, woman!! Get on it!!" I am my own beta and apparently I am very hard on myself. ;)

I was thinking of asking you to look the Dean/Cas fic over for me, since I struggled with it so much, and you are my go-to-Dean/Cas girl - but a friend offered to help already, so I'm going to let her do it. I am sure there will be more struggling over finding Castiel's voice in the future though. It's hard when I tend to always have a humorous side to things, in combination with Castiel, sometimes I flail around about it.

It's getting close to Thanksgiving, so I will probably post that this weekend and then the Dean/Cas. :)

Haha, yeah, my inner beta is also quite hard on me. ;)

you are my go-to-Dean/Cas girl
*blush* This makes me happy, you know. :D
I'd love to help, so if you're flailing in the future, don't hesitate to PM me or something. :) I don't know how much help I'd be, but I could try. ;)

Yay! Fic! From you! Looking forward to it!
