This fic-fest lasts all year. And the rules are pretty free and open. Chances are I'll do at least one fic that fits this list. (no, you people know how my writing goes by now - that's like a total pimp coming from me. I am the girl who fears challenges because I'm convinced the deadline blocks me, which I know is bullshit but I'm Tweak and I can't handle the pressure).

Mostly I just wanted to share this because the list of reasons to have sex was so funny.

I already have an idea for the "it's cold outside" prompt and usually at this point I'm like, "When will I have time to write that?" but the cool thing about no deadline is that if I don't find time for 3 months, that's okay.

James Marters is too adorable. His expression in this icon says that he too is not shocked you are writing XMFC fic. I love how once you found Charles and Erik's voice, you just keep flowing with it. I'm envious of the day when I was in love with certain characters like that.

I think you could do some really unique stuff with some of the things on The List. I am going to try to find a way to work out a fic for, "Already at their house and don't want to move your car." lol

The one I've started is actually more something I've been wanting an excuse to write, fluffy being in bed together stuff. It just hasn't fit into the other stories.

Oh, see, I'd be interested in that because so much of Charles/Erik is so heavy that you don't often get to see them being fluffy and sweet together. It's nice to mix it up once in awhile.

I'm very proud that I wrote 500 words today, just to kind of get back into writing again after my little detour into writing that fic for my nephew for Christmas.

Yes, it's quite true and my two other Charles' fics in progress are rather deep and complex. It's nice to write one that starts with them in bed together.

Any writing is wonderful, this break for me was mainly starting things and not finishing as much as I meant to.

I wrote my nephew that X-Men fic we were talking about when you were here last. The one I was struggling so hard with because I kept reading your XMFC fic and one other person on my Flist who has been turning out XMFC fic - but then these very grown-up in-depth voices for Charles and Erik were in my head and my nephew is five. In fact, he doesn't even know their names are Charles and Erik - to him they are Professor (which is a word he has a hard time saying still) Xavier and Magneto.

And I was writing Charles and Erik voices and I had to break myself of that. I had to go to like cartoon show-verse in my head to find the right voices for my nephew to follow.

I plan on posting it to my journal, hopefully next weekend if RL permits. It ended up about 1,700 words so I was pretty happy with it. But needless to say, I had to break myself back in to writing for adults again, so I wrote a little SPN piece today.

No, see, the 'no deadline' thing is sooo good because basically any story about two people hooking up falls into the perimeters of "The List". So any fic idea you have over the course of the next year about two people hooking up can totally be posted at this challenge.

(see what an enabler I am? I never pimp challenges and now that I am, I'm like beating you all to DO IT!! Beating you to do it being ironic since it's a challenge about sex-fic).

Yes, yes, but I'm not even looking at the list til after I manage to finish the big bang. I already lost a couple of weeks to a couple of little Chris/Steve fics and my muse is being a terribly fickle thing.

It's due by Jan 31 so I've got a couple weeks yet. I'm in the middle of a hard copy edit. You know, where you print it all out and make changes with pencil. It's helped tremendously to do that. Seeing it all laid out, getting it in order so it makes sense that sort of thing.

So, while I would love to have you read it and tell me what you think and what needs work I haven't got a copy to send! lol If you're still interested and able round bout monday it would be a great help.

Yeah, send it to me. I'll have time on Monday and if you don't get it to me by then, I'll have varying degrees of time during the week (it always depends on how hard therapy knocks me on my ass). But the worst thing that'll happen is I won't get it back to you in time, in which case, you're no worse off than you are now, right? ;)

I remember you talking about the research process and I am very intrigued to see where you went with it. I don't know how much help I'll be, but I can def point out if there are any major plot holes or confusing sections or anything. (my biggest challenge when writing something very plotty is that I forget key pieces of information - because I know the information and can't everyone else just see inside my head? lol)

I already have an idea for a Firefly fic for this challenge. Now I just have to decide if I want to finish my threesome fic that got left sitting while I worked on my nephew's christmas present or if I want to jump right in and write my first Firefly fic in years.

I think the most creative prompt on The List was "You're already at their place and don't want to have to move your car" but I also really liked "You finally get the chance to show your childhood bed some action".
And "a friend told you about a new position".

I copied the list in word and highlighted the ones I could see working in each fandom I use, giving each fandom a colour(Not OCD, much lol)

Most the list is highlighted, there all so good. looks like I need to do some deciding as well lol
