I'm All Over The Map On This One.
Let's start with baseball - and you should just be prepared for this to happen more and more often the closer we get to October. We have an ELEVEN game winning streak going on right now!!! Last night we went fourteen innings before taking the lead and the game. My boy, Don Kelly, is getting a lot of play lately too and that makes me happy. We just won three against Cleveland, which is good because they've been riding our asses all year. (I do miss the White Sox though - we had such a good battle last year, I'm sorry to see what a bad year they are having). Otoh, Nick Swisher is playing for Cleveland now, so it gives me a place to put my rage.
I've been watching 'Camp' this summer and omg, this show is SO much fun! Idk what about it is hitting all my buttons but I am enjoying the hell out of this little summer show! And I am now shipping Grace/Robbie like burning. I just wish the show did a better job of informing us how old the characters are, because we have a variety of age ranges on the actors, playing a mix of high school to college age kids, and it's hard to tell how old the characters are meant to be. But if Grace is 17 (and some throwaway lines indicate she may be) then shipping her with Robbie just got way less creepy than when I thought she was 15. God, Robbie needs to break up with Sarah. Grace would make such a good rebound relationship for him! Ugh, I Need It.
Also, ‘This Is The End’ has kind of ruined everything for me, in that it randomly pops into my head at inopportune moments. Like watching a SYTYCD routine with these gorgeous white costumes and this beautiful look to it and BAM, the final scene from ‘This Is The End’ popped into my head and ruined the whole thing! Thanks, Seth Rogen, thanks a lot. Also, I have been pulled into the sidelines of the Pacific Rim fandom this summer via The BFF and her tumblr and her rampant squee - (albeit totally deserving rampant squee) - and the other day I was flipping through a filmography on IMDB and one of the movies was 'Big Fat Gypsy Gangster'. I scrolled past it twice and each time I read the word 'gangster' as 'Danger'. I was insistent there was a movie titled 'Big Fat Gipsy Danger'. I completely blame The BFF for this. She's a ruiner. Ruiner, I tell you! Also, she accidentally left her car unlocked the other day and someone broke into it, rifled around and then stole her bag of dark chocolate M&Ms. That’s right - someone broke into The BFF’s car, left her GPS and her radio and whatever else she had in there and just stole her bag of M&Ms. I hope they ate too many and threw up afterwards!
Finally, my little brother & family are spending the night tonight so that my sister can go with them to Michigan Adventure amusement park first thing in the morning. Which means I will get the whole house to myself for about nine hours tomorrow! I plan to art, play my music super loud, get some writing in, spend the whole day in my bra and jeans, finish catching up on my TV, watch some baseball, sing at the top of my lungs and possibly post a fic. Enjoy your weekends all!

LOL Naw, probably not. 'Camp' is a family dramedy (I equate it to Parenthood but leaning more towards the comedy side than drama). And I honestly think what it is hitting for me is the High School thing that I admit to having as my guilty pleasure. I am so stupidly into who is going to makeout with who next and omg, will they find out Kip's secret and what will Sarah decide for her future and will Mack's divorce ever be final?! Which may not be your thing? Unless you are also harboring a guilty pleasure genre I didn't know about! Still, I wish SOMEONE would watch this show with me because omg, I want to talk about all the romances so hard and what the hell is wrong wit me? 8o

I did not get any writing done on my 'day off' but I made art all day long while listening to awesome music and watching baseball without having to reign in my cussing! It was quite a good day, thank you!

Stupid school work on the weekends. Do you have a balcony or a porch or something? It'd at least be nice to occasionally sit outside while doing your school work. Hope the weekend had some ups for you as well!

ahahaha Yep. 90210. I was, uh, 10/11 when that show started and my older silbings all watched it (my brother, his bff, my sister, both my twin cousins) and they'd all come over and Mom would banish us to the bedroom to watch because we all got too rowdy while watching it! I didn't understand half the stuff they were talking about, but I thought I was so cool watching the it-show that all the high schoolers were watching. LOL No surprise, at that age, David was my favorite.
Unless you count the way I sometimes watch DWTS a few weeks in a row? Or my TWD devotion, I suppose!

Well, I talked for the first (maybe second?) time about baseball in this post. But full on rants? They're coming, trust me. The closer we get to October, the higher the stakes get. Especially if we can't keep Cleveland and Kansas City off our ass! (Idk what happened, Kansas CIty snuck up out of nowhere and now both them and Cleveland are only 6 games out from us!)

I could probably make a post of those sometime this weekend, in between grading the first batches of essays (3 set of sophomores, two of AP) and gettin' my lesson-planning on....

It was Dylan for all the older girls I watched with too (except my goody two shoes cousin who was into Brandon!). I did have a thing for Dylan, but I was too young to understand what that 'feeling' in my body was. I just wanted David to hold my hand and give me kisses. I was eleven - shut up!!
I have a bunch of photos still from right before we moved into the house. My brother took them to show my sister the work he had done to the house for us and they show a pretty good layout of our house. I bet there is a picture in there somewhere of my beloved sunporch. As for house plans - I have a book! We're on some mailing lists for log cabin plans and other house plans - they're big fun! But really, we want a giant combination living-room/kitchen/dining room, a master bedroom with super duper bath, shower, and walk in closets, and a couple spare rooms. Then, a giant basement filled with food and Apocalypse-survival tools. Hee!

We hadn't seen him on anything since we stopped watching 90210 in the college years and then my sis and I checked out TSCC and were like 'holy shit, what?!' cuz daaaamn. It was then that we dubbed him The Notorious B.A.G. (get it?) and have called him that ever since. (I had to refrain from referring to him as such in this thread because I figured his 90210 days did not warrant the name!)

a) Are either one of you any good at math? You can buy graph-paper at the store and at least get a rough sketch of what you want drawn down on paper. Math required for figuring scale though. (I love my graph paper - designing houses is so much fun!)
and b) Duh. If you build your own house and DON'T leave room for survival supplies, you just plain suck.

This plan for a basement also allows the house to be built in stages! Basement complete, take time for house on top... and TAHtm wants to plant thorny blackberry bushes all around the property border, for deliciousness and a natural-looking "moat."
It's just barely possible we've thought about this too much....
