Ugh. So, Wednesday night, I started running a fever. I had been feeling a bit run-down and then I started to feel worse, so my sister felt my face and was all, "Oh, hell yes, you have a fever." I was beta-ing a fic for a friend - (ceitfianna has written a lovely character piece for Peter and Susan during their reign in Narnia - I'll try to remember to rec it when she gets it posted) - so I finished that up and got into bed at like 8:45, which is way early for me. And then I started having chills. Boo that.

I felt better yesterday morning - woke up coughing like crazy though, but felt pretty okay all day - and then in the evening I started to feel off again and my sister just looked at me and said, "You're all flushed, you have a fever again." I thought it was just a 24-hour thing, but apparently not. Though Idk why I thought that, since my brother called me on Tuesday because apparently his whole family was quite ill and since they had all spent several days with us, he was worried we were sick too. (I didn't even know it was him over the phone, his voice sounded so messed up). Apparently both he and The Nephew ran nasty fevers with it. I may possibly have a mild fever right now, but I hope it doesn’t spike again tonight since I have to go to therapy.

Also, on Wednesday night, the doorbell rang. My sister had just run down to my mom's house, so I thought maybe she’d locked herself out. But I didn't hear my sister shouting at me to open the door, so I didn't answer it. When she came back, I asked if she had rang the doorbell and she said that it was those security guys again, come to check with us about how things were going, but she'd run into them outside. Wow, I am glad I didn't answer the door!

Oh, and real quick, since I didn't get around to making a post yesterday, I just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to bugeyedmonster!

Lastly, I just have one quick thought on Teen Wolf and what I foresee as a long-term plan for Stiles. Notice how Stiles is the only normal-human character among his friends of werewolves, banshees, kanima, super trained hunters, etc, much like Xander was amongst his friends of slayers, vampires, witches, werewolves, watchers, etc. So, like Xander goes on to be a Watcher (so I've heard?) later in life, is Stiles' path one of an emissary? His character arc certainly seems to have a good set-up in that direction. Idk if they'll do it on the show, but it's totally going to be my new future head-canon for him!

They are! I felt like my face was on fire, literally, and yet I had to climb under a pile of blankets because I was shivering so badly. The human body is such a strange thing!

I am feeling better now though, so thank you! (sadly, my sister was sick all day on Friday, though she at least never ran a fever and is also better now).

I like your headcanon and it seems to make sense with how the emissaries work. I need to rewatch the last episode and I'm so grateful that MTV has full episodes on the website since my parents don't have cable. The canon has so much going on in it but I do like that we're getting more background fixed in. And I hope, hope that they deal with Stiles and his father and their communication and trust issues. It hurts to see them how they are now when they both love each other but don't know each other.

I think Stiles would be great at it because even if he doesn't know the answer to something, he will do anything to find that answer and figure out a solution to the problem. Plus, he isn't afraid to get right in on the action and he has a good heart.

I am so nervous about the current situation because with all three parents in harm's way, I have the feeling we are about to lose one of them. I don't want it to be any of them, but especially if they take Stiles' dad away from him with their relationship at the state it is at! But also it can't be Melissa! But also Chris has gotten such a great storyline this year and NO! (teen wolf is making me all paranoid!) Stiles really was trying to tell his dad, but Bill needed to get there on his own I think. I can't believe we are at the (half)season finale already!

Oh ugh, yes, knowing Teen Wolf, this feels like they would kill off someone because they've set it up so it feels like someone has to die. It would be horrible if they killed the Sheriff and unfair, that storyline needs time. Ugh, I hope MTV puts the episodes up quickly because its going to suck waiting for it. Though since its only a half season finale its going to hurt because everything has this season.

Thank you for the notes but I actually sent in the story and I'm happy with how it started. Oh and I began the other fic the X-Men one, which I'm happy sort of happy with. I'll share it with you when its farther one as its due sooner than I expected, September 5th.

Teen Wolf does not always follow logical story arcs and that usually pisses me off, but in this case I don't really want them to because logically they have boxed themselves into a corner of having to kill one of the parents. And I don't want anyone to die! Yes, Scott & Co will get there in time to save them, of course, but if they don't get there too late for at least one of the parents then it negates all the shows future tension and suspense as "Well, they won't go through with it anyway." If they want any credibility, they kind of have to. But then again, Teen Wolf doesn't always do the obvious, so maybe they won't. (if they do, I think it'll be Melissa because Scott is the only one with a secondary parent around - though sure as hell Dylan O'Brien could handle the storyline of his dad dying and it would be beautiful but ugh, I just don't want them to kill anyone!)

I feel 110% better, thank you! Yesterday my sore throat did come back and is still bothering me today, but that's at least partially my bad, because yesterday I pulled out my Les Mis soundtrack and was singing along and that shit can wreck your throat. How do broadway stars do it on a regular basis?
