I wasn't sure I was going to make it until midnight simply because, though I am usually awake still by midnight, I am almost always in bed by 10pm every night (earlier since I've been so sick) and there is a distinct difference between being in the living room, sitting up, interacting with people (though mildly since it was just The BFF and I and we were pretty engrossed in watching our new show - Orange is the New Black) - between that and being tucked into my comfy warm bed, you know? The BFF kept telling me we could just go to bed if I wanted, but I was determined to make it! It may be my last year though, not getting any younger here. lol
