So, Tuesday the 13th is my LJ anniversary! The day, four years ago, when I made my first official LJ post! I usually like to do something on that day to celebrate - special fic, a fandom meme, let you guys ask me questions, whatever. But this year since I'm still feeling so under the weather, I was hoping you guys could help me out. I remember seeing (and answering on some of my friends' journals) a meme about 'name five things that you relate to me' and I really liked it. Maybe you guys could answer with five things that make you think of me and I can post all the answers on the 13th! (I've got a dr's appt that day, but this should be fun and easy enough!). So let's celebrate my anniversary! Come and play!

As it so happens, the 13th is also The Nephew's birthday...he'll be eight! It doesn't seem like that long ago that he was playing with his imaginary dog, Zoom Zoom, and telling me stories about what he did that day with his brother, Iceman, and now he's eight! My little man!

Five Things I Associate With You

Goofy/awesome conversations: I love it so much when our LJ conversations go in random directions, sometimes educational and sometimes hilarious or horrifying!

Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit: It's pretty great to share a love of such well-adapted books to the screen (LoTR more so than The Hobbit, where they added so much stuff), especially when there are so many pretty men in them for sighing and sometimes slashing.

Shows we squee about: Especially when it comes to TWD and AoS, every week I'm excited to see what you have to say about the episodes, and the characters, and the sick things the writers do to torment them and us.

Awesome surprises in the mail: you're super thoughtful and sweet, and when you send a card or gift it's always perfect, and perfectly uplifting.

Beta reading: I don't do it for anyone's stories but you, babe. *hugs*

Five things I associate with you?

1 - Hobbits. Because I like me some hobbits, same as the next nerd, but JFC, you won't shut up about 'em! And I mean in a good way, the same way I won't shut up about Chuck Heston (to anyone outside the computer).

2 - Hyper-organization. Because you actually keep track of how many words you write, and when, and in what fandoms, where I'm all... I probably wrote something... once... or maybe twice. And then wrote something... else...

3 - Dean/Cas. Because you're one of the only people left here on LJ who like those two and you wrote the cutest fic that one time, where awesome!John has 'the talk' with Dean and gets all flustered when Dean asks what goes where with dudes :) (At least, I hope that was you. If not... eee, sorry!)

4 - South Park. Because you have relatives from Canada. And you blame them.

5 - NKOTB. Again... not sure if this was you, but I feel like it was you, who wrote a fanfic where Donnie Wahlberg married your mom...

1. geek (I love that you get so passionate about stuff you love)
2. K and the physiotherapy stories (you know those are my favourites)
3. the Nephew (kid is made of win!)
4. BFF & sis (the love and loyalty of such strong relationships/bond/love, the understanding of each other, it's so rare and so admirable)
5. strength (you have gone through so much in your life but you still manage to go on forwards and think positive, being a good example, a good teacher)

1-Supernatural-The way you love this show and I think it was the first fandom we clicked about.

2-Kitties!-Your kitties, and how they're part of your home and life.

3-Lord of the Rings-The Hobbits out on the porch and lots of wonderful hobbity things.

4-Fandom-maybe this should have been first but I think of fandom stuff with you, because your love of fandom is enthusiastic and I always end up grinning when we talk.

LJ anniversary! Awesome! I'll play. :)

1. X-Men. Because of things. I'm not a hundred percent right now, but I think that was what we talked about when we hijacked Annie's comment section. Which was glorious btw. :)

2. Psych. I've never seen the show, but every time I see it mentioned my first association is you. I still have that Psych t-shirt I got for free at Comic Con, and it makes me smile.

3. Cas. Just because I can't count the times we've talked about him.

4. Michigan. For reasons.

5. LJ. Because you're the only reason I go on here anymore, and because our comment conversations are awesome.

First off, of course, is Hobbits and then weirdly enough is Chloe from Smallville, but only season one or two Chloe, cos in my head that's what you look like.

Three is fanfic, which encompasses Steve and Chris and Supernatural and J2 and JDM (I suppose that's a whole list five right there isn't it? *shrugs* oh well)

Four is I can't do asterisk actions in text without thinking of that fan-freaking-tastic story you wrote where Dean writes Glee fanfic. (which reminds me, I haven't reread it in awhile, I should do that today)

Five is friendship. You are one of my first friends on lj and even though I'm a crap communicator we're still friends :D You are a lovely and sweet person my dear. Happy lj anniversary, here's to many more :-D
