Writing Is Hard, Yo.

I’ve fallen behind in my word count goals already. I actually started out the first week of the year doing really well, was even ahead for a little bit. But now I’ve stalled and I don’t really have anything I am working on that will spur me into catching up. Keeping up, yes, but not catching up. I need to be inspired. And I remember how well it worked when I was trying to get to an end-of-the-year goal in 2014 and I asked for pairings and prompts for the Mistletoe series I did. I met the goal I was striving for and then some, plus I did it in less time than I had allotted.

I was kind of hoping to repeat that occurrence.

And since we have a holiday less than a month away, I thought I’d go with that. No, no, not Valentine’s Day. I mean Galentine’s Day. February 13th. The celebration of one’s female friendships. Or gals, as it were.

So, if you guys don’t mind, could you hit me up with some female friendship prompts. Unlike the Mistletoe series - which was all about mistletoe - I don’t have a theme in mind this time, though I am sure I will find a way to tie them all together and give them a cool series name. But yeah, anything is welcome - any fandom, any female characters, any prompts. Anything you can think of. The fics themselves will center around female friendships, which should be celebrated more often!

Valentine’s Day for me, for years, since I moved in with my sister, has been about saying ‘thank you’ and ‘I love you’ to the people in my life. The BFF, Sister, sending cards to all the kids in the family, etc. I was delighted to discover Galentine’s Day, because it’s just an extension of what I kind of already celebrated.

So, yeah, help me get inspired, send me some prompts, kick me in my lazy butt and get me writing again!

1. Agent Carter: Agent Peggy Carter and Waitress Angie living in Stark's house between S1 and S2

2. Supernatural: Ellen meeting Mary Winchester in Heaven

3. Agents of SHIELD/MCU - Melinda May, Natasha Romanov, Pepper Potts, and Maria Hill (or any combination thereof) talking about the children (not an age related term) under their care.

I haven't been writing worth shit all of December and January so far. Though I did have an idea for a Five Things set in the mid-season finale episode of TWD. Stupid Sam! :)

I also might make an excel spreadsheet for my writing this year. Each time I work on a story, add it to the spread sheet; keep track of words for each by month. (This could also be a way to procrastinate while pretending to write, though.)

As you know, you're Galentine's fic is done! Just replying here so I remember which ones I've actually done! ;)

I will, however, be holding onto the Peggy & Angie prompt! I wanted that fic the minute I saw they'd be living together at Stark's house. Also, I like a challenge and the idea of writing either or both or these characters is a bit daunting, and that alone is reason enough to take it on!

Hmmm, I like this idea. But then I think it is procrastinating. But then I think I should do this too. So...I may not be the best person to ask about this, since I always find ways to procrastinate on my writing!

Ha, well... all I've written in Feb is the post about the mid-season opener of TWD. So... it appears I procrastinate plenty already even without a spreadsheet.
