The Summers Of Our Youth.

dodger_sisterAs kids, we had our sandbox pushed up against the fence line in our backyard. We spent many days there playing with our Star Wars action figures, building Tatooine in the sand and burying our dead when they fell. Yes, we buried our dead. Sometimes so deep, we couldn't find them again. Poor Yoda, being as small as he was, had to be replaced at least three times because he'd get lost, never to be found again. And that happened at least once with R2D2, based on the fact that my little brother, now 33 years old, has been ripping up the old fence and laying in a new one for my dad and came across this gem, buried along the fence line.
But as The Force Awakens taught us, R2, you will awaken again when the time is right. Until then, know you served us well, in the summers of our youth.

It made my dad's day too, as Sis, Little Bro and I all happened to be out at his house at the same time and my brother brought this R2D2 out to show us that he'd found it and we all stood around reminiscing and laughing. Apparently he also found the football I'd bought him for his tenth birthday, lol!

Oh yeah, I still have a whole set of the original action figures from the 80s, they have been worn through. ObiWan's head rotates like he is the exorcist, lol. C3PO was supposed to come apart and back together bc we had a way for Chewie to carry him in pieces on his back like in Empire, but after a few times of being taken apart, he wouldn't go back together. We superglued him, but he still randomly just falls apart in our hands. And Jabba the Hutt has lost an arm, but all things considered, the hundred other figures we have, our set has lasted a long time.
Three generations of Star Wars fans in your family is awesome! Us too, Dad is a huge fan, as are us kids and all of our kids too!
