I am so glad I could help cheer you up via Shawn & Gus. Believe me, I know about pressure and I know about parents. Not to mention, the job market - I live with my sister and she is weeks away from being unemployed and nothing on the horizon. It's the market, dude. She is already at a job that she is over-qualified for and hates, how can she take a step down from that?

So glad I could cheer you up.

And, I think we shall call it "Psych-sters" from now on!

"Lassiter's Little Wifey" was the first Shawn/Lassiter fic I ever read. I almost didn't read it because the title made it sound kind of lame, but I am so glad I did. I totally blame this fic for turning me onto Shawn/Lassiter...well, I also blame Shawn and Lassiter because I mean, come on, right? That shit is totally canon.

Yes, this fic was just sweet. And also, totally a Shawn thing to do, solve a crime with Post-It Notes. They should have him do this on the show. They could do a Lassiter-centric episode where we see Shawn at the beginning and at the end, and the rest of the time his presence is just felt through Post-It Notes. Lassiter would be so irate, it would be awesome!

EDIT: Also, Lassiter should get his own episode because I love him, in case you hadn't noticed. ;)

You have no idea how happy this reaction made me, to the Psych/SPN crossover - you can't rec Psych fics without this story!

Also, my sister totally wrote it, which makes me biased, but it is still awesome.

True Story - Twice now, my sister and I have been doing the whole, "Remember when Shawn and Gus did this...remember when they did that..." game - and twice now, this conversation occurred -

Me: "Remember when Henry demonstrated how their anti-zombie fort wouldn't work?"
Sister: "Haha, funny."
Me: "What?"
Sister: "That didn't actually happen! I wrote it in a fic!"
Me: "No, I remember seeing Henry doing his zombie impersonation in...oh, shit."

I still swear it happened in an episode except then I realize that John Winchester isn't on that show.

Yeah, I love the little John & Henry moment. I keep telling her it needs to be a whole fic unto itself. ;)

It does! It does! It would be an epic fic! And I was totally doing that same thing the other day! I was talking to my friend about Psych, and I asked, "Hey, what was the episode where Henry shows the boys how to build a zombie fort?" And she thought about it for a minute (she's seen ALL the episodes and has them on DVD) then said, "I don't think that's in an episode....Are you sure you didn't read it somewhere?" And then I had to think about it for a minute before I sighed and said, "That would have been such an awesome scene...."

OMG!!! That's the best story ever!!! Cuz you can totally see it in your head, right? Henry in his cop uniform with his not-quite-bald head, doing his zombie thing and those adorable little kids hiding behind the couch!

See, they should totally steal that bit from her fic and use it on a Halloween episode! My sister wouldn't even sue them, I swear!

It's back on Nov 10th...I get excited every time I see a commercial, it's ridiculous.
