IDK why I am so lazy about posting my art, omg! But look, here is the piece I did for K for his 50th birthday earlier this year. He is a huge fan of Psych - it's kind of freaking adorable - so I made him a little something to hang in his office.

Psychic Physical Therapy - 04

Some more art blahblah and photos under the cut! )

When I gave it to him, his whole face lit up - it was so super cute. Then he had to hug me and when I told him it had been my sister's idea to go with the office sign, he was all, "Where did she go, I want to hug her too!"

Anyways, this my Psych art I did for K’s 50th birthday! I'll try to put up some more soon, I swear!

Just in case any of you wondered how I spend my days…Today, when my sister came home from work, I was wearing my Lego Movie pajamas, listening to the Glee soundtrack, working on a sketch of Shawn Spencer from ‘Psych’ and sucking on a Ring Pop. Cuz I am a grown-ass woman, yo!

So, over the weekend, [livejournal.com profile] hiyacynth and her boy, Munchy P, were here. They were set to come on Friday, but after looking at the weather report, we started to get concerned about what were being described as ‘potential white-out conditions’. She said she’d think on it Wednesday night and then on Thursday I awoke to a text from my sister saying Hiyacynth was on the way here, deciding to come a day early! She very cleverly brought a sled along, in case they did get stranded on the side of the road, that she could pull her son behind her instead of carrying him through the snow.

Sis and BFF were at work on Friday, so while Hiyacynth was baking delicious bread, I played with Munchy for a few hours. He got out the Bert & Ernie dolls and we played out what I later realized was very similar to an actual episode of Sesame Street. Bert kept bringing ants into the house via his garden. “Ants in your pants, Bert? Don’t sit on the chair - you’ll get ants on the chair!” - “I sit in your chair, now you have ants in your chair!” Lather, rinse, repeat that for a half an hour. We also played on the IPad and the kid suckered me into purchasing more puzzles in the puzzle app. He is so vocal now and it is adorable. It shouldn’t be so cute when a kid cries, but when my sister shut him out of the basement so the cats could eat dinner in peace, he cried, “If you shut me out of there again, I will be sad!” Also I noticed that if one of his aunties did a transgression, we were all to blame for it. “But my aunties won’t let me in the kitchen!” - “But my aunties turned off the light!” I’m sorry, but it’s just adorable. On Saturday, just after I woke up, while I was still in bed, Munchy came traipsing into my room with a new book, crawled up in my bed and handed it to me to read to him. After that he wanted my IPad, so we cuddled up in my bed and played on that while his Mom took a shower.

We had a lot of good food and watched some movies - got to see Winter Soldier again, which I really do love a lot - and all in all, I had a pretty excellent weekend. Now I have to spend the week working on K’s birthday present. It’s his 50th this year!

Halloween was awesome! I terrified all the children! We were steampunk vampires this year. I took my old pseudo-Cabbage Patch Doll and sat in front of the big windows. When kids were coming down the sidewalk, I’d bury my face in the doll’s neck and wait until they got almost up to the front steps and then lift my head. My mouth was caked in blood and I would snarl at them and throw myself against the window. It was hilarious! Several of them backed right up. Quite a few asked if I was real. One kid gave me a double thumbs up. A lot of the parents waved at me in appreciation, but like I’m going to break character and wave back. I only broke character, waved and smiled - though I was told my smile was also terrifying - for the really little kids who were too scared. It was so much fun and both Sis and The BFF looked great in their outfits and [livejournal.com profile] lizibabes made us some steampunk jewelry and The BFF had this amazing Victorian era ballgown that was like blood red, while Sis had this great platinum white wig. Also, despite the weather being 40 degrees and rain/snowing, we got about 100 kids, which was great.

More under the cut for spaceage. )

It was definitely one of the best Halloweens we’ve had since we moved into this house. I can’t believe we have to wait a whole year for next Halloween! How were all of your weekends?

It is officially the first week in the new world where there are no more new episodes of Psych. It is a dark, dark day, my friends.

Deep breath, Psychos. Psych has moved on, and unlike Gus, we cannot follow. But it will live on forever in our sick twisted little hearts.

Yep, last Wednesday was the series finale of Psych. Today is a sad day. I always thought that Psych would be one of those shows that stayed on the air for like 15 years. Like they would just film 10 eps every year and then USA would slot them in wherever they were needed. Because that's how Psych rolled - it was always there whenever it was needed. Just when things in your life seemed the darkest, new episodes of Psych would magically appear and it would be glorious. And I just thought they'd keep that up for another 10 years. I mean, I completely understand that they wanted to go out on top - there are some shows I can think of that are well past their prime and can't seem to let go - but understanding and accepting are two different things. My beloved, happy funtime show is gone.

However, great finale! Who saw it? I was so happy for the ending everyone got - from Henry to Lassiter to Buzz (Oh, Buzz!) to Shawn and Juliet and Chief Vick and especially Gus. What a great end for Gus. The day Shawn walked into his office pretending Gus' fake cat, Mrs. Pickles, was at the vet would turn out to be the greatest day of Gus' life. And let us not forget the wonderful end with Dobson! Dobson, you are the man! And love always for Woody! And I loved how at the end, it was still wacky and ridiculous and we could leave with the feeling that they were all going to carry on, in their own ways. Well done, Psych Team!

I watched the marathon where all the stars picked their favorite episodes and also they filmed thank you and goodbye messages to the fans, us Psychos, and omg, Kirsten Nelson's thank you message - she was just crying through the whole thing. I wanted to climb through my TV and hug her and tell her we would miss her as much as she will miss us. During the finale after-show they ran videos from the fans saying goobye and one girl was just crying so hard and all the actors seemed so surprised and touched by it and I don't think they realized how many of us were out there crying too.

I'll miss you, gang! I'm not playin'.

The Nephew just spent 30 minutes talking my ear off, mostly about this book series he is reading called “Captain Underpants”. Also about the Lego LotR game he is playing, He kept calling Gimli…‘Grimli’. He told me, “When I was in the mines, Grimli kept crying and crying over that one grave, which I don’t even know what it was, and then I couldn’t even use him because he was crying so much.” I had to explain to him how it was Balin’s grave.

I have been watching the ‘Batman: Brave and the Bold’ cartoon that he loaned me. They had a pretty cool episode where Batman and Green Arrow went to Camelot. Morgana turned into a dragon! But in one episode, there’s this guy, Dead Man, who is a ghost that can possess people and then use their bodies to fight crime. He jumped into a random passerby to use him to help Batman and I yelled at the TV, “Dubious consent issues!”. Then later when Dead Man needed to use Speedy, Batman says to Green Arrow, “Is it okay if we borrow Speedy for a minute?” and Speedy goes, “Wait…borrow me how?” and then Dead Man jumps into Speedy’s body and I went, “Why are you asking Green Arrow? What is he even…Speedy’s dom?”. It was at this point that I started cursing the Supernatural fandom and how it has warped and ruined me forever. Because it has.

In Canadian Nephew news, he turned 2 about a month ago and recently he was at the table eating and my brother had his back to him when all of a sudden TCN yells, “Fuck!” and my brother whips around and goes, “What did you just say?” and TCN goes, “I dropped my fuck, daddy.” Apparently when he says ‘fork” he drops the ‘r’ and it sounds a lot like he is saying ‘fuck’. So he hears my brother telling me this story and he thinks it must be funny, so suddenly in the background I hear him go, “Fok, fok, fok, spoooon,” and then laughing hysterically at himself. In the same conversation, my brother and I were talking about our favorite episodes of Psych and he tells me that his favorite is the “Hangover”-esque one where Woody keeps going around telling everyone how he spooned Lassiter - “I spooned that guy”. Of course, TCN, who is still laughing uproariously at his ‘fork-spoon’ joke, hears his dad quote this line and shouts out, “I spoon that guy!” We, naturally, lost our shit laughing. Now my brother is worried that his kid will go up to random people and say, “I spoon that guy. Fuck.”

Also, recently The Canadian Brother & family moved into a new house. but they had to stop back at the old place. Canadian Nephew was running through the old empty house screaming at the top of his lungs because that’s what you do in empty houses. But The Canadian Niece, all of 3 ½, just stood in the doorway with her little arms crossed on her chest and said in her most 13-year old voice, “Oh, not this place again.” Good to know she doesn’t have separation anxiety from her old house!

That is all.

1. DUDES. [livejournal.com profile] ranua went to Planet Comicon and while she was waiting in line to meet Adam Baldwin, she snuck a photo of him and sent it to me. Like a real photo! Of Adam Baldwin! Who I basically have crushed on since like age 14 after just hearing his voice. And now I have a photo of him propped up on my bookcase! I would have slept with it on my pillow - (what? I don't care, I was very excited!) - but I was afraid Buddy would drool on it. I wish there was an audio recording of the noise I made when I opened the package, because it was kind of inhuman. She also sent me a Barbie zombie head, as one does, and I am going to hang it from my light cord in my bedroom. It's very cool! You can see the picture and some cosplay characters at her journal entry, here. I have the best friends, you guys!

2. I need to talk about last week’s Psych, because omg...Spoilers out the ass for last week's episode. )

3) My brother came in today to do yard work and apparently The Nephew was throwing up last night (poor little guy) and so he stayed home today. But he was better this afternoon so he came to help his dad pick up sticks. I got out of the shower to an answering machine message saying, “Call me right back, real quick!” and then he was like, “I want to come in,” and I was all, “Come in where?” because I had just gotten out of the shower and didn’t realize they were in the backyard. So he came inside but we only got like 15 minutes before his dad was finished and they had to go. Still, it was a nice surprise - since they moved out of town, we rarely get the pop-in visits anymore. Unfortunately, I forgot that one of The Nephew’s birthday presents was sitting on my dresser and he went in my room and saw it, so now he knows he is getting a Hobbit poster for his birthday. Damn.

It was a therapy day today, so I'll probably turn in early. Hope your days were all lovely!

The World Series is in Detroit today! We do best playing at home and we really need the win. But that’s not my point. My point is, I hate the fucking announcers. I just want Rod & Mario (the guys who announce the games for Fox Sports Detroit). At San Fransisco, the one announcer for the Series says some bullshit about how loud and revved up the SF crowd is and then he says, “I have never heard a crowd like that before. Of all the teams, San Francisco has the most enthusiastic crowd I’ve ever seen.” Bitch, listen, clearly you have never been to a game in Detroit. 3 million+ fans attended the games this year in Detroit and we are loud mother-fuckers. Yes, San Francisco has very enthusiastic fans who like to dress in costumes and dye their hair orange - (it does kind of look like a sci-fi convention or a punk rock concert out there with the outfits and stuff) - I’ll give them that. But don’t say they make the most noise of any crowd, until you’ve heard Detroit rise to its feet, okay? It got me all bristled up. So I really hope the crowd tonight in Detroit makes those announcers go deaf with it. Make some noise in the D!

Let me tell you about a dream I had last night. )

So what this dream shows us about my inner state of mind is…a) It’s baseball season in October! and b) I fell asleep watching Law & Order: SVU and c) all my sister does is lament how Psych is not coming back until February!

Look, USA Network, when you pushed Psych from a summer show last year to the fall, you told us all the summer was a better place to premiere a new show (curse you Suits!) and that Psych fans were loyal and would follow it anywhere. This is true and we did. But now you’ve pushed it this year from the fall until February and this will not stand! Yes, we are a loyal bunch but lest you forget, Psych fans are also the people that put USA Network’s original programming on the map in the first place. All these other shows you are pushing Psych aside for now? You wouldn’t even have them without the awesome stylings of Shawn & Co to begin with! (Monk fans too, but that’s not my point right now).

Go screw yourselves, USA Network, you’ve made my sister sad.

I have made art for [livejournal.com profile] anyothergirl415's birthday! Looking at pictures of Shawn and Gus being adorkable together was not a hardship, let me tell you. I would have had this up yesterday, on her actual birthday, but since I am no longer going to therapy, I can't seem to figure out the date. I know how to count, I swear!

Anyways, [livejournal.com profile] anyothergirl415 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Have some Shawn and Gus.

Gus, don't be these two wallpapers of us under this cut. )

Why isn't Psych on this summer? They have pulled it from their summer lineup. But it's my summer show - my lj tag even says so! I know it'll be back in the fall, but boo not filling my summer with Shawn and Co.

Anyhoo...Once again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [livejournal.com profile] anyothergirl415!!

So, today my aunt took me to therapy and when she came back to pick me up, she had my cousin's kids in the car. The Boy Cousin is about to turn twelve and The Little Girl Cousin is almost eight. We had this conversation upon seeing an ambulance at one of the old folks homes.

Under the cut for spaceage. )

He was so not helping his own cause! She wouldn't take the DVD, in the end. It actually has some bad language in it which may not have been appropriate for The Little Girl Cousin, but considering when she was a toddler and would wake up in the middle of the night, her dad would rock her back to sleep while watching "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back", I figure it would probably be okay for her to see Monster Squad.

In TV News - who saw the season finale of Psych?! Holy Shit. Are they serious? And it doesn't come back until the fall! I can't wait that long to find out what happens. They ended on a cliff-hanger! They never end on a cliff-hanger! What is happening in my world?! It can't be. It just can't.

In Sum: I think The Sister and I are going to see "Cabin In The Woods" this weekend. If we don't wear ourselves out first with the bazillionity errands we have to run.

(Why, yes, I did change my 'horror' icon from Josh Hartnett in "30 Days of Night" to a "Monster Squad" icon - what do you mean 'that's not horror'?)
dodger_sister: (sons of adam)
So, yesterday was a better day.

I called my caseworker and she said everything was fine with my benefits. She didn't get through her mail in time and the system automatically sent me a notification of termination (termination - it sounds like they plan to kill me, lol). I should get a new letter soon saying everything is all set. It is just frustrating when I get these letters after 5pm and I can't do anything about it.

I called the doctor too and they moved my appointment up a little. Not until May, but 1 month is better than 2 1/2 months. I have to go to the other clinic, which is a little farther away but still doable. I would just feel better if someone who knows my legs a little looked at my knee and told me whether it looked off at all. /shrug/

Still, a better outcome on both things. And my sister sprayed for ants, so hopefully that will be done too.

Also, it was beautiful outside yesterday - (was today too) - sunny and 50 degrees and I opened the porch and let the cats go lay in the sun. Kirk was my friend all night, somehow knowing I had a bad day and Pippin came and slept on top of me while I watched my morning TV. I spent the afternoon reading fanfic - some Dean/Cas, a little LotR, a Hunger Games fusion, some Star Trek and a Jensen/Misha fic. It was an indulgent afternoon.

Then at dinnertime, we watched Psych and Rob Benedict guest starred! He was so cute in his little suit. I just want to have his babies. Between the two of us, our children would be tiny little figurine sized people.

And when I was falling asleep, I caught Craig Ferguson. Jeffrey Dean Morgan was on and I got all SQUEE when Craig introduced him as "my good friend, Jeffrey Dean Morgan." They didn't touch each other though, as they are so apt to do, because Jeffrey was sick. I did learn a valuable lesson: Don't watch Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Craig Ferguson flirt with each other right before bed - it gets you all riled up.

Then while I was sleeping, I had a Leverage dream. It was an epic movie-sized plot dream (again) wherein I made out with Christian Kane (again, though this time it was Eliot Spencer) and I was some 'character' of myself who was totally a Mary-Sue (again). I've been thinking about the dream all day. The downside was I woke up from the dream and then couldn't get back to sleep because I kept replaying it in my head. Everyone should dream about being on the Leverage team just once. It's fun!

Today I feel really tired, but it's probably from spending all night making out with Eliot Spencer. I'm gonna go to bed early and tomorrow I hope to have time to give you a couple of fic recs!
dodger_sister: (omg)
So, last night I had two very distinct dreams.

The first one is really too embarrassing to tell you about, even though it was also quite funny. Let's just say it involved me, Christian Kane and Steve Carlson. And it was really graphic, which was nice for me. But the end proved once again that I am a big giant sap. I Mary-Sued myself into my own dreams in the most Mary-Sue-way of all.

The second dream was awesome, though I can't remember a lot of detailed specifics. In it there was a demon brothel - as in humans were kidnapped and forced to work as sex slaves in a brothel that serviced only demons. It was being investigated by the FBI, including people from the TV show "Numb3rs" and the show "Without a Trace". (my boy, Danny Taylor, was there!) On the demon side of things, unbeknownst to the FBI, it was being investigated by Angel the Vampire Detective who was teamed up with Shawn and Gus from "Psych".

It all makes total sense in my head!

The FBI had this special scanning device so that they could see what was going on inside the brothel. It seemed like what it should show was heat images, thermal outlines indicating humans and demons. Instead, what the computer monitored showed was what looked like Sims. Sim human women having sex with Sim demons - graphically. The Sim demons were all various colors with various horns and tentacles coming out of their heads and other body parts.

Then the FBI burst in at the same time as Angel, only they were all like, "Freeze, FBI!" and Angel just went about ripping all the demons' heads off. As one does. I seem to recall something at the end where both Danny Taylor and Gus took home kids they found at the brothel whose parents had been killed by the demons. I am pretty sure, somehow, that the one Gus offered to take home was actually a vampire-kid. Do you think Gus will love him anyways?

In Sum: MultiFandom Crossover Dream FTW!!
dodger_sister: (stevedanny)
Alright, a little late but...who saw the most recently aired Hawaii Five-O?

Spoilers for H50 2.19 Kalele under the cut - mostly Steve/Danny squee. )

Anyways, The Nephew is asleep now and I met my word count for the week, so I am going to curl up and watch some Psych for awhile. I love the kid, but he wears me out.

Oh...today we played Space Cops with our Legos and when we arrested bad guys and put them in prison, my Lego-guys would tell them, "There is no hot cocoa and no ice cream in prison, you know?!" So The BFF comes upstairs and hears me go to arrest a Lego-guy and I said, "Give us that spaceship back, thief, or you are going to prison. And you know about prison, right?" I hear someone make this sort of choked/snorting sound behind me and I didn't even have to turn around to know the expression on her face. I just hollered at her, "There is no hot cocoa or ice cream in prison!" and The Nephew goes, "That's right!".

I blame the internets, you guys. And probably fanfic. Way too much fanfic.

Good night all.
dodger_sister: (writing)
Well, eleven days into the month and I am finally getting my word count up for February. I actually hit a pretty good count last month. Not quite as much as in January, but still well beyond my goal of 500 words a week.

Most of my words seemed to be Dean/Cas, but I also managed a little Firefly. And I wrote some Without A Trace fic for the first time in probably five years. I don’t even know where that came from or what just happened there. There is this image I have had in my head for years of Martin trudging up the stairs to his apartment and finding Danny sitting there, head bowed. I sat down to meet my word count and out of nowhere, the story for that image just wrote itself. After all this time, that was quite a nice surprise. I also wrote my first real Justified fic - (not counting that drabble I wrote last year and intended to flesh out but never did). Finding Raylan and Boyd’s voices took me a minute but I am really happy with how it came out.

My word count for February 2012, as well as a look back at Fic of Februarys Past. )

I did sit down and write that Hunger Games fic that has been needling at me. I am unsure if it is any good or fits very well in canon, since it’s been awhile since I read the first book, but writing it was definitely a cathartic release that I desperately needed. And it’s Sunday today, which means I should be writing some Firefly Apocalypse fic, but I really just want to go read more Catching Fire. Decisions, decisions.

Just popping in to say that I am still alive. I just realized I hadn't posted in almost a week. Have sort of kind of been keeping up on my Flist, a little, anyways.

Had a houseguest (not the obligatory family kind though, but an actual honest-to-goodness fangirl kind!) all weekend and then a doctor's appointment every day this week in a futile attempt to figure out what is wrong with me. Every doctor has an opinion/theory, no one can say for sure. Have to start back at therapy next week and though I have missed Kevin, I do not look forward to how much more exhausted this will make me and even more limiting in my computer time. Who knows, maybe physical therapy will give me more energy?

In TV news - who saw "Psych" last week?!?! Shawn Spencer playing baseball, in uniform, with two homages to "Bull Durham" and the mention of Sparky Anderson (and the mention was from Kurt Fuller's character at that!). It's like they drilled a hole right into the center of my heart and then filled the hole in with sparkly shiny confetti. I am a happy girl.

And finally, for those of you that missed JDM's most recent appearance on Craig Ferguson, I have the youtube link. (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] denyce for that!) All Hilarie asked of Jeff was that he and Craig not talk about boners...so they talked about boners.

That is all.

TV Talk!!!

Nov. 3rd, 2011 12:19 am
dodger_sister: (television)
Let's talk TV!! Just a few random thoughts I have on a slew of shows I watch…

Some mild spoils for Supernatural and H50. )

NCIS:LA: Nell and Eric were adorable in their uniforms!! Awwwww. You know what made up for Kensi's all-too-brief appearance on H5-0? KENSI IN HER UNDERWEAR!! KENSI IN HER UNDERWEAR!! I am not surprised it was black underwear but it was very sporty. I would have thought the tough chick secretly wore really girly underwear. Not that I've spent an unreasonable amount of time thinking about Kensi's underwear.

Totally spoilery for The Walking Dead and American Horror Story. )

Death Valley: If you are not watching this show - WHY NOT? It's on MTV and you should start watching it right the fuck now. I know, you are all, "But it's on MTV." No, don't let that stop you - it's like COPS but with vampires and werewolves and zombies. And not like an apocalypse, but just like normal everyday life going on with these supernatural beings as a daily part of it. You don't need to know anything about it to jump right in - so JUMP RIGHT IN. Billy is my cop boyfriend and I know he is a douche-idiot, but god I love him. He is like The Todd from "Scrubs" except instead of being a surgeon with a scalpel, he is a cop with a gun. He's like...he's...I can't even explain it to you, but he is like my perfect man. And that probably explains so much about me to all of you.

Glee: Glee came back last night and Tivo missed it!! It didn't tape. Apparently it was listed as a rerun and lots of people missed it because their Tivos/DVRs didn't pick it up. Boo!! I wasn't that excited about its return, but still.. PUCK.

Wilfred: I recently found myself really, really missing this genius little show. I have quite a wait in store. I am really worried about what the ending of the season means for Bear.

Psych: I have waaaaaay too many thoughts, so let's just go with - WHO SAW LASSITER/ZACHARIAH?! Yes, Zachariah like Kurt Fuller. THEY WERE CUDDLING!!!!!!! IT'S CANON ON THE SHOW NOW, RIGHT?! Sadly, Woody (Kurt Fuller) seems to be married.

Once Upon a Time and Grimm: I have started watching these but it is still too early for me to have any thoughts. I like to give all new shows like three episodes before I decide one way or another. They both seem to have good potential though.

There are a few other shows that I watch too, but I think that is all the thoughts I have for now.

In Sum: Billy/Me/The Todd would be my ideal lifemate scenario. Also - KENSI IN HER UNDERWEAR!!!
dodger_sister: (psych)
First, a very belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to [livejournal.com profile] 13chapters!!! I was going to write you some Jared/Misha - I had an idea and everything - but apparently my brain hates me. My muse is awake at midnight, when the rest of me is asleep. I can't get used to this new schedule. But I was thinking of you and I hope it was Made Of Awesome and All Good Things, darling!!

Second, omg, So You Think You Can Dance - I can barely stand it!! I was just telling Kevin how nothing makes me cry anymore, that I have a heart of stone. I don't cry at weddings or funerals or when a baby is born or at the end of Dead Poet's Society. What is wrong with me? The only thing that makes me cry anymore are Dean/Cas vids about how they broke up/split up the family/love each other so damn much. But apparently I was wrong on that...because now I also cry during So You Think You Can Dance. /headdesk/ It was Ricky, okay?! I just...love him.

BUT, OMG, YOU GUYS!! OMG. KENNY ORTEGA IS GOING TO BE A GUEST JUDGE NEXT WEEK!! OMG. ONLY LIKE MY FAVORITE CHOREOGRAPHER EVER IN THE HISTORY OF EVER, EVER!!! I was literally rolling around on the couch spouting off insane babblings and having a little mini-seizure right in front of The BFF because OMG! What if he and Tyce are in the same room and they talk to each other and they are kind of flirty and they make out OMG and what if Jason comes in the room too and it is a big threesome of dance-love OMG?! ONLY ONE MORE EPISODE TO GO - WHAT WILL I DO THEN?!

Sadly, Psych is not coming back until October. WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT?! Apparently, summer is a better time to premiere new shows, because they don't have to compete with the regular season of TV and they said that they knew the Psych audience would follow it wherever it goes. Which is true, but still...some of us are starving for things to watch this summer. It is a long, dry summer without my Psych. It is especially pissing me off since they were suppose to come back in July and they changed it at the last second. (omg, I think I dreamed about Chief Vick last night - everyone kept calling her Karen and I kept screaming, "She is the freaking Police Chief! You call her Chief Vick, dammit!!" lol)

I have also become obsessed with Storage Wars - I'm not even sure how that happened. But today, while watching and making fun of Barry & Darrell - (half the fun of the show is just me trash-talking out loud to the guys) - I totally proved that I can, in fact, turn every reality show into a J2 AU. Jared resells furniture. Jensen runs a pawn shop. Jared finds jewelry in the unit he buys and he can't sell it in his store, so he just gives it to Jensen. Jensen repays him a week later by helping Jared move some furniture into his store. Jared repays him by taking him to dinner. Jensen repays him by topping the shit out of him. The End.

I feel like there was some other TV show I wanted to yell about, but I can't remember now. In Real Life - ugh, you guys, too many things to tell you that are going on with my mom. I can't even begin to know where to start. But FYI, she is moving into my neighborhood next week, so I'll be bleeding out my ears soon.

Now, someone please remind me when Misha's web-show thingy starts. Cool.

ETA: Omg, I found Adam Shankman/Tyce Diorio slash fanfic. I miss Adam so much this season, but this has made me happy. You know you ship them too.
dodger_sister: (christian-blueshirt-anyothergirl)
I know, you are thinking - "Wait, Dodger. Don't you mean Christmas morning is magical?"

No. No, I don't.

Because when you wake up on Thanksgiving morning and come out of your room...and there is Christian Kane on your TV playing the guitar - it is a magical day.

He even had his 5 X Everything hair! )

In family news... )

I was exhausted by the time it was over, but it went pretty well.

Hope your weeks were all awesome.

Alright, alright, [livejournal.com profile] aythia, I did a meme...see?

She's always tagging me to do these things and I am lame and never do. So this time, I thought I would, just to try something different...like actually doing things.

Don't expect major confessions here...I have to be in the mood for that chick-flick shit, you know.

Tag seven people to do the same.
Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it"

1. The tornado sirens went off today. Yes, like five days before Halloween. That's weird, even for Michigan. Which lead me to think about the fact that I hate storms! I hate high winds and pouring rain and thunder and lightening. Mostly because I have actually been in TWO tornadoes in my life. They didn't touch down, but believe me, they don't have to. My fear makes me do the following things when it even starts to rain - put in my contact lens, put my shoes next to my bed, have my bag with my wallet and my week worth of pills nearby...all in case I have to flee and/or the house comes crashing down around us. (These things also help in case of a fire). And I put on either my fake dog tags or my fake One Ring, sometimes both, because yes, those things totally help.

2. I don't like to eat things that have crunchy things in them - like brownies with nuts in them. Because you bite into it and you're all, "Omg, what was that?" and someone is like, "Oh, I think it has nuts in it," and then later you find out it didn't have nuts in it and you don't know what you just ate! Or sometimes you are eating something with nuts in it, but any of those crunchy things could also be like a cockroach or something! YOU DON'T KNOW!!!

3. Three, er four, albums that remind me of the summer after I graduated high school - Alanis Morrisette's "Jagged Little Pill", Beastie Boys' "License To Ill" and both volumes of the Dazed and Confused soundtrack.

4. I have three cats - Audrey aka Papa Bear, Krycek aka Big Buddy, and Roo. I tend to talk more about my sister's cats because my cats are old and fat and don't do anything. Buddy thinks that "playing" means finding a piece of string and chewing on it. They are sweeties who like cuddles and pettings, but they don't ever do anything overly cute or new.

5. I got a job the summer between 8th and 9th grade at a child care and continued to work in child care for the next decade of my life. I did this until I was in my early twenties. Oddly, now I really don't like any kids, except the ones in my family. I don't know how I did it. They want things like all the time. Honestly. Though I do plan on taking this knowledge and totally using it to write an M2 daycare fic.

6. I am currently watching the following shows - Hoarders, Hellcats, NCIS LA, Nikita, Hawaii Five-O, Glee & Supernatural. I will soon be adding The Walking Dead, Psych and South Park to that list, as they return to television in the next few weeks. But where is my What Not To Wear?

7. It's a good thing this meme ended on an odd number, because I firmly and truly believe it is bad luck to end on an even number, unless it is a dividend of 10.

What? I have to tag people now? /grumble/ Fine, but only cuz this is the first meme I've ever done and I don't feel like being a rebel about it. But dude, [livejournal.com profile] aythia, we share way too many friends in common...seriously, I checked like five people to tag and they've already done this meme. Our flists are very over-lapping.

I tag [livejournal.com profile] ranua, [livejournal.com profile] vikingprincess, [livejournal.com profile] tringic, [livejournal.com profile] casiedearestfic, [livejournal.com profile] menel, [livejournal.com profile] liptonrm and [livejournal.com profile] 13chapters.
