Guess Where I Just Was?
HARRY POTTER, BITCHES! MIDNIGHT SHOWING!!!
Oh yeah. Forgive me typos, as it is mother fucking late and it was awesome!!!
No Spoilers here...but just let me say that my wizard boyfriend, George, is a bad-ass mother fucker and I love him. Shut up, people who are telling me he was only in the movie for ten minutes. I love him. As does his brother, Fred.
Sadly, my wizard bestest best friend, Charlie, has still never been seen, or even mentioned for that matter.
It was beautiful and wonderful and awesome. It was very well shot and photographed. There is a scene in the graveyard that was so beautiful that it had me crying and with little goosebumpy chills from both the beauty of the way the scene looked, and the emotion those kids were able to express. (Btw, hasn't Emma grown up to be beautiful?)
There were a few scenes that I distinctly remember from the books that were missing, but they were not plot pieces. They were just scenes I remember liking, but other than that, I have no complaints.
They did a great job showing the way the world had changed since Voldermort rose. The very, very first scene was terrifying and I wanted to huggle Snape and Draco, it was quite awful to watch.
I had forgotten one major thing that happened, somehow, and right before it did, I was like, "Oh no," because I remembered and then I cried. I had forgotten that all I did while reading the seventh book was cry.
It was great. The movie crowd was really good too, but there was no loud clapping when it ended. Probably because of the note it ended on.
I had fun.
I have more to say on Harry Potter in general, but I have to go to bed now.
In Sum: Dudes! They showed a trailer for Green Lantern! Ryan Reynolds, bitches! He must be so psyched, he is such a stupid GL fanboy and he has been lobbying for that part for years and he looks so mother fucking bad ass.
Yes, I do swear like a drunkard when I am excited and tired, thank you.
Goodnight.

I'm most interested in how they filmed the scenes in the book during which I was sort of bored, which was pretty much all the scenes in the forest in the beginning. Tents, trees, blah blah blah.
Draco is my homeboy, but his daddy is my favorite out of everybody. More Lucius!

You know, I was worried about all the walking, camping, researching bits too - but they did it really well. They moved through it quickly, without taking away any of the emotional turmoil that it was causing them. They still showed how it was affecting them to be away from their families and on their own and uncertain of what to do next. And they had some nice, sweet, friendship moments in there too. It was very well done. I was impressed.
It is seriously the best adaptation of the HP books they have done and that is hard, because you are right...they had a lot of stuff in book 7 that wouldn't necessarily translate well to screen.
I heart Draco so much. I kept holding out that he would have a bigger part to play in the end, or that he would redeem himself in the end somehow. I felt like they didn't use him to his full potential. Part of what caused Draco to act the way he did was his uncertainty in himself and his need to prove himself. It would have been awesome if he had decided to just do the right thing, and then actually ended up proving himself that way. And Lucius, let's not talk about my daddy-issues and how Jason Isaacs in this role brought them out of me. Okay then. ;)
As for the Malfoys in this movie...that feeling of how absolutely stuck they were in this situation - they were barely even in the movie and they conveyed this with a few flicks of their eyes and hard swallows. Seriously, if you are a Draco lover, the first scene in the movie will kill you. It was so hard to watch, I was literally afraid I wouldn't make it through the whole movie.
I need a Malfoy icon, dammit.

I used to have the best Photoshop program on my old computer before it died. I would have rocked icons so hard with it. All I have now is Paint and it blows hard. I miss being able to use opaque or layers. Hell, I miss being able to size properly.
I can see the gradual change of color in the background on this, it's very cool.
