I thought I wouldn't find my Christmas Spirit until ABC Family gives me Chad Michael Murray in scrubs on Sunday night. If Christmas Spirit is an innuendo for something else. ;)



The Glee episode of Christmas delight was awesomecakes!

I have not said anything about Glee in a while because both the Beiste storyline, and especially the Kurt being bullied and having his life threatened storyline have opened some old wounds that have made it hard for me to process my thoughts into a post.

Despite that I mostly just want to squee about the music and the dancing and The Puck!!!

But THIS - the kids singing The Island of Misfit Toys!!! OMG. And Sue as The Grinch and the whole plot - seriously, the best plotted episode of the season. How fricking adorable was Becky?! If I had time, I would go hunt down an icon of her in that reindog outfit.

And Schue was so happy to see Kurt - I made a squeaky noise of delight over Schue, you peoples! For serious!

And The Beiste - omg!! I am totally in love.

Also, I DID NOT CRY!! I didn't.

Except that I totally did.

What has become of me? My sister was on the other side of the room - I don't think she noticed. It started with the kids singing the Who-ville song from The Grinch. But to make myself sound more cool, or less cool maybe - it wasn't Glee that made me cry, it was that song. I cry every time they sing that at the end of The Grinch cartoon and the Grinch soars down the mountain and everyone holds hands and I love that stupid song - SHUT UP!!

Then I cried again, maybe, when Artie stood up. Mostly because of the look on everyone's faces, especially Brittany's, and of course, THE BEISTE!!

DID YOU ALL SEE THE LOOK ON PUCK'S FACE WHEN ARTIE STARTED WALKING??? DID YOU?!! HE LOVES HIS BOY SO DAMN MUCH - THEY ARE BESTEST BEST FRIENDS FOREVAH!!

In sum: I had this whole crazy image in my head of The Beiste and Schue and Sue all getting drunk together on Christmas Eve and watching Love Actually and then crying.

You know what I love the best about Glee club - how much like a family it really is. I am such a sucker for the whole "the family we make" thing. And the way they all came together for Brit was awesome. And it's cool that Beiste is kind of part of their psuedo-family now too.

Artie&Brittany4evah! In that one episode, where Artie all of a sudden wants to get back together with Brit, I was like, "Wait last week you were pissed at her and now you want to get back together - oh wait, teenage boys and hormones, got it." - but now? Now they are my favorite pairing on Glee. I can't believe I am gonna say this, but more than Puck/Rachel even. And what is with me and all the het pairings I like on Glee? It's madness - Madness, I say!

Youtube has failed me - I tried to find the Glee-Misfit Toys song video for you, but they only have the music, not the video. Boo that.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who teared up a little. I made The BFF watch it and she was wiping her eyes and I was like, "Are you crying?" and she said, "Yes, dammit!" and I went, "Oh thank god I'm not the only one." lol

Hee, I found the whole episode and made my husband watch with me. He said, "I have to go to the optometrist." I said, "Why, are your eyes broken again?" (it's a silly little in-joke with us--) And he said, "yeah, they're leaking." Teary eyed for the win!

Gosh, you big cry baby *rolls eyes* lol. I loved the ep (even though I didn't know most of the songs), it had an exceptionally high cuteness factor, and I loved the ending; Sue and Schue are so awesome when they get along :) I just want more Kurt - I don't care how cute that Darren guy is, he belongs at McKinley. obviously.

You make me these awesome things and it takes me a week to get back to you - I am lame. But I can't wait until after Christmas, when I can post the painting I did for a Christmas gift and show you what it is I have been working on.

I AM NOT A CRYBABY!!! I just enjoy it when something makes me feel the Christmas magic in my poor dead soul. So SHUT IT!!

Sue and Schue are great together, they play off each other so well. Also, Kurt has to be coming back - I mean he will, because otherwise he would have just left the show and they won't do that and unless they are making a spin-off about Dalton Academy (which I just made up in my head right now) then Kurt will come back.

Anyway, the episode made me feel all christmasy and shit.

AND THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME COOL ICONS BECAUSE LOOK HOW FREAKING ADORABLE SHE IS AND I WANT TO BE A REINDOG FOR CHRISTMAS (wait you don't dress up for Christmas? Wrong holiday? Whatever. I do what I want.)

I made a few pieces for Christmas gifts. It's been a long time since I managed to make anything that looks like anything. I have a limited range of what I am good at, so my paintings all end up in generally the same style. I tend to give them all away and a few years back it occurred to me that I have given away a dozen or so pieces and never took a photo or scanned them into my computer or anything first. So I have nothing to really show for my work except the two pieces I kept for myself. This time I got smart and scanned and photographed them, so when I give them away, I can at least have an image to show for it.

Hahaha, it's amazing how well I would be able to pull off the Little Cindy Lou Who look too - I look remarkably like the kid in the cartoon. It's creepy. We always have Christmas dinner at 2pm at the grandparents farm and as a kid it was obnoxious because I wanted to stay home and play with my toys and eat crap and be in pjs all day. Now this year Grandpa is in his 90s and can't do a big holiday gathering so well, so everyone is just going to visit them as they have time - and I'm kind of sad about it. On the other hand, it looks like some of us cousins with no other family obligations that day might go to the movies, so that will be good.

Oh, and jsyk; I blame you for our family christmas New year's card this year XD

Oh honey... always, ALWAYS keep proof of your work! It's a good thing you're taking pictures now; both for yourself (for posterity) and for me (because I'm really curious) because,  jeez, I really geek out over art these days; the whole teaching this gives me such a kick sometimes, that I get utterly gleeful when someone random is enthusiastic about art/making something :)

Lol, I really wanna watch the Grinch right now, but I think tonight's movie might be the one with that other green monster (my dad got the new Shrek dvd for christmas...)  and lol, cartoon Cindy, huh? well, then I have a mental image for you now :)

I hope you had a great christmas & we'll talk soon; "christmas gift" is coming at new years!

Well, I gave the pieces of art out (I have pictures on my computer though) and The BFF was really happy with hers. I am overly hard on myself, but she used words like "professional" and "beautiful", so I think that's a good sign. It has encouraged me to try some styles I haven't used in a long time - maybe finish the X-Men piece I was working on for The Nephew before his parents banned him from X-Men for, you know, violence or whatever.

Maybe someday I'll post a picture of me at like age nine and you will see how easy the Cindy Lou Who look was for me to pull off, for serious. :)

Oh sweetie, you will be getting your Christmas gift from me around Valentines - but before then I will have lots of things to post, starting with the Entourage/CW RPS fic I wrote for The BFF. I am currently working on a J2 AU for The Cousin.

I saw the Christmas card! hahaha - well, everyone is a muppet in my head, the world is better that way anyhow!
