It's International Talk Like A Pirate Day!

I have been aware of this special holiday for many years now, though I mostly forget about it until it's already over. But I remembered this year! Anyways, there are these guys who had just decided that one day a year, they were going to talk like pirates. Makes total sense. The story of how the whole thing took off was pretty amusing - if you want to read it, look I found you a link. I keep meaning to buy their book.

So, since it is International Talk Like A Pirate Day, I thought I would let Wakko teach you the proper way to do this...

And since I am putting up Animaniacs clips anyway...

If I had remembered ahead of time that it was today, I would have cleaned up the one and only Pirates of the Caribbean fic I ever wrote. Though it has very little to do with being a pirate and more to do with porn. ;)

Okay then. I am sadly off to take Papa Bear to the vet again. He has now decided he just doesn't want to eat, even though I bought him special wet food and started heating it up for him. Hopefully they can give him an appetite stimulant or something. My poor old boy.

I am perfectly cool with being a dork if it means more Animaniacs for me! It's totally an educational show - I learn opera music and about fine art and history and how to correctly drop an anvil on someone's head. 8)

Thank you, darling. Papa Bear is not doing very well - I had to leave him at the vet's for a few days. It looks like it is his kidneys. He seemed a lot better today when I visted, but in the long term, I am not sure where this is going. I'll have a proper update post in a day or two.

In the meantime...I love your keyboard! It is called a "Corsair"! OMG. That totally made me smile.

I'm glad it made you smile. Also, I'm really, really crossing my fingers and doing other hopeful things for you and Papa Bear. (I'm still not over having lost my most recent kitty... like, four and a half years ago. So I really don't want you and PB to be separated!)

My sister actually has the first collection of Animaniacs on DVD. She and her friends used to get drunk and watch it in college, so I bought her the DVDs a few years ago. They are still just as amusing as they were when I was a kid. And all the side characters - Rita and Runt, Slappy the Squirrel, etc.

Thank you for the good thoughts. I had to leave Papa Bear at the vet's for a few days. He seemed better when I visited today but it looks like the problem is his kidneys. I am not sure what all my options are going to be, but I'll know more by tomorrow. Update post soon. /hugs back/
