Marchin On.

This afternoon I was in the living room and I looked out our big front windows and saw that the sky was this wall of dark grey mass, and yet the sun was shining beautifully down on everything in an almost surreal way and the trees were blowing in the wind just enough to send a light shower of falling leaves down.

It was gorgeous. I wished I had a camera so I could step outside and take a picture of the perfect autumn day.

Then I went and took a shower, leaving the bathroom light as the only light on in the whole house. When I was done, I opened the bathroom door and was met with complete blackness, as black as night. I went into the living room and looked out and it was like nighttime outside. At 3 in the afternoon.

I went back in the bathroom and did my hair and whatnot and came back out and it was light again, but grey with no sun. And it was snowing.

Yes, I said SNOWING. Pretty steadily and sticking to the ground. After about 15 minutes of that, it was raining. And after about fifteen minutes of rain, it was snowing again, only this time we had a good five minutes of nearly white-out conditions. My sister had a commitment at church at 6pm, which is about ten minutes after she usually arrives home, so fearing that the white-out would cause her to be late, she left work an hour early. It is November and she has already had her first bout of leaving work early due to the weather. We didn't even make it to Thanksgiving this year before we got snow. That does not bode well for the rest of the season.

And there is still snow stuck to the ground now.

Other things...[livejournal.com profile] matchboximpala was asking for the link to the fanvid done to OneRepublic's "Marchin On." She didn't specify which fandom, but I am assuming she wanted the SPN one. At any rate, I have both the Harry Potter version and the Supernatural version here for your viewing pleasure.

I saw this one first and it was fanfuckingtastic. Sometimes I forget how much I love Harry Potter. I literally felt like I couldn't breathe. And yeah, okay, I maybe cried a little. I am sure I was pms-ing or something.

On a personal note: I want to scoop Fred and George up and hug them until I die. Also, I am not tearing up. Nope.

Then I saw the SPN vid - (and there were a few options on youtube but I think this is the one that was floating around fandom rec lists awhile back) - and I was all, "No! That song belongs to Harry Potter!" but then I watched it and...wow. Okay, just...it's beautiful. And yeah, okay, I maybe cried a little. Shut up, I am a girl, I have boobs, I can cry if I want too!

BROTHERS!!

I really love this song quite a ridiculous bit as well.

Oh crap. I'm crying again. Son of @&#$%!

Seriously, snow on the mother@!&*%#@ ground, peoples.

oh gods! those vids! Yes, the crying is totally pms related. *sniffs & drys eyes*

I'm dreading the snow coming. :( I so don't wanna drive in it. So far we've been really lucky and every time it's been in the forecast it's missed us. I feel bad for the people who are getting it, but I'm damned happy it's not me. :)

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that this is the worst it gets for ya'll.

I'm not crying, it's just been raining on my face!

Those vids were awesome. I am always in awe of vidders who can pull that much emotion out of their viewers. I want to fight evil wizards and demons now. (okay, I wanted to do that before these vids but now I want to do it with this song as my theme song!)

I can't imagine having a driving job and having to deal with snow every day. I like snow from Thanksgiving until New Years and then it isn't pretty anymore and it should go away! It has snowed lightly a few times this week but nothing that stuck to the ground and nothing like that first snow. But it's coming, I know it is.

Driving while it's snowing actually doesn't happen too often, maybe 2-3 times a season, so that's not too bad. As long as the roads get cleared quickly it's just another day at work. *shrugs* (I still loathe being cold though and wet feet *shudders* that's the worst)

I like snow from Thanksgiving until New Years I agree! It's like the perfect outdoor decoration. By mid January I'm done with it.
