This afternoon I was in the living room and I looked out our big front windows and saw that the sky was this wall of dark grey mass, and yet the sun was shining beautifully down on everything in an almost surreal way and the trees were blowing in the wind just enough to send a light shower of falling leaves down.

It was gorgeous. I wished I had a camera so I could step outside and take a picture of the perfect autumn day.

Then I went and took a shower, leaving the bathroom light as the only light on in the whole house. When I was done, I opened the bathroom door and was met with complete blackness, as black as night. I went into the living room and looked out and it was like nighttime outside. At 3 in the afternoon.

I went back in the bathroom and did my hair and whatnot and came back out and it was light again, but grey with no sun. And it was snowing.

Yes, I said SNOWING. Pretty steadily and sticking to the ground. After about 15 minutes of that, it was raining. And after about fifteen minutes of rain, it was snowing again, only this time we had a good five minutes of nearly white-out conditions. My sister had a commitment at church at 6pm, which is about ten minutes after she usually arrives home, so fearing that the white-out would cause her to be late, she left work an hour early. It is November and she has already had her first bout of leaving work early due to the weather. We didn't even make it to Thanksgiving this year before we got snow. That does not bode well for the rest of the season.

And there is still snow stuck to the ground now.

matchboximpala was asking for the link to the fanvid done to OneRepublic's "Marchin On." She didn't specify which fandom, but I am assuming she wanted the SPN one. At any rate, I have both the Harry Potter version and the Supernatural version here for your viewing pleasure.

I saw this one first and it was fanfuckingtastic. Sometimes I forget how much I love Harry Potter. I literally felt like I couldn't breathe. And yeah, okay, I maybe cried a little. I am sure I was pms-ing or something.

On a personal note: I want to scoop Fred and George up and hug them until I die. Also, I am not tearing up. Nope.

Then I saw the SPN vid - (and there were a few options on youtube but I think this is the one that was floating around fandom rec lists awhile back) - and I was all, "No! That song belongs to Harry Potter!" but then I watched it and...wow. Okay, just...it's beautiful. And yeah, okay, I maybe cried a little. Shut up, I am a girl, I have boobs, I can cry if I want too!

We have had a few light flurries since, but nothing like that first day. I hope it doesn't happen again for a little while anyways. Our winters last long enough as is.

That Harry Potter vid makes me want to do something, idk...like stand up and salute or something. It's unreal.

We had, like, six months of snow last year, so it can just keep away for as long as possible, no worries. I won't even complain if there's no snow in Christmas, I promise!

Over the weekend, myself/the sister/the bff had a friend in to visit and the four of us all watched a shitload of Dark Alec and Castiel-season five (my sister called it Dark Alec Con 2011 and Cas!Con 2011). She asked her Flist for recs of stories featuring both Alec and Castiel and no one had anything for her.

But I did!!! I printed out that fic you wrote me and passed it around the living room and we all fangirled out like big dorks over it. My sister said it was the convention's fanfic contest and you totally won. To be fair, your fic was the only entry but still - YOU RULE!!

I have to go eat a chocolate taco now. Hope things pick up for you, baby! /kiss/

Mmm, chocolate taco sounds delicious and strange at the same time. Hope you enjoyed it! And thanks for the cheering up, it helped a lot. *smishes*

Chocolate Taco sounds disgusting but actually it is chocolate syrup, ice cream and waffle cone. The waffle cone is shaped like a taco shell and there is vanilla ice cream inside and the whole thing is covered with frozen chocolate syrup. It's like a sugar induced coma of heaven.

Dude, mouth watering over here! Want! (Also, way to have an appropriate icon for that!)

I do have an unhealthy relationship with my icons, but it means I have one for every occassion! My "food" icon used to be just a picture of a chocolate cake shaped like a heart, but I just recently switched it out to this one, which I adore. Dawn just looks so blissful and happy with her milkshake.

I want to have one for every occasion too! It feels wrong to comment on something about... uh, chocolate for instance and not have a chocolate icon! :P
