Marchin On.

This afternoon I was in the living room and I looked out our big front windows and saw that the sky was this wall of dark grey mass, and yet the sun was shining beautifully down on everything in an almost surreal way and the trees were blowing in the wind just enough to send a light shower of falling leaves down.

It was gorgeous. I wished I had a camera so I could step outside and take a picture of the perfect autumn day.

Then I went and took a shower, leaving the bathroom light as the only light on in the whole house. When I was done, I opened the bathroom door and was met with complete blackness, as black as night. I went into the living room and looked out and it was like nighttime outside. At 3 in the afternoon.

I went back in the bathroom and did my hair and whatnot and came back out and it was light again, but grey with no sun. And it was snowing.

Yes, I said SNOWING. Pretty steadily and sticking to the ground. After about 15 minutes of that, it was raining. And after about fifteen minutes of rain, it was snowing again, only this time we had a good five minutes of nearly white-out conditions. My sister had a commitment at church at 6pm, which is about ten minutes after she usually arrives home, so fearing that the white-out would cause her to be late, she left work an hour early. It is November and she has already had her first bout of leaving work early due to the weather. We didn't even make it to Thanksgiving this year before we got snow. That does not bode well for the rest of the season.

And there is still snow stuck to the ground now.

Other things...[livejournal.com profile] matchboximpala was asking for the link to the fanvid done to OneRepublic's "Marchin On." She didn't specify which fandom, but I am assuming she wanted the SPN one. At any rate, I have both the Harry Potter version and the Supernatural version here for your viewing pleasure.

I saw this one first and it was fanfuckingtastic. Sometimes I forget how much I love Harry Potter. I literally felt like I couldn't breathe. And yeah, okay, I maybe cried a little. I am sure I was pms-ing or something.

On a personal note: I want to scoop Fred and George up and hug them until I die. Also, I am not tearing up. Nope.

Then I saw the SPN vid - (and there were a few options on youtube but I think this is the one that was floating around fandom rec lists awhile back) - and I was all, "No! That song belongs to Harry Potter!" but then I watched it and...wow. Okay, just...it's beautiful. And yeah, okay, I maybe cried a little. Shut up, I am a girl, I have boobs, I can cry if I want too!

BROTHERS!!

I really love this song quite a ridiculous bit as well.

Oh crap. I'm crying again. Son of @&#$%!

Seriously, snow on the mother@!&*%#@ ground, peoples.

OHHHHHH! Thank you so much. That *was* the SPN video I was searching for. I did a YouTube search a while back for Marchin On and found an SPN fanvid that I didn't like so much and didn't remember as the one I thought was so amazing. This was it! I hadn't seen the HP one, but that was great, too.

This afternoon I decided to watch Hachi: A Dog's Tale while I was working on a project and the project went ignored as I got completely sucked in. I bawled my eyes out. If I actually *knew* Jared Padalecki, I'd do everything in my power to prevent him from seeing that movie.

Back to catching up on my flist now. It's been a few days, because I logged in briefly Friday evening and in my inbox was a posting that spoiled Friday's episode for me, so I logged back out and didn't want to return til I had watched it.

urgh.

YAY! You're very welcome. I watched one SPN "Marchin On" vid and it wasn't that and then I watched a second one and I was like, "This is the one." Glad it was the same one you wanted. It's just amazingly well edited and the vidder picked the exact right clips to rip at our heart strings. 8)

I didn't know what "A Dog's Tale" was so I went and looked it up and yeah, neither Jared nor my sister should watch that. Have you ever seen "8 Below" about the dogs left stranded in Antartica? My sister bawls every time (I cried the first time and then again when we stupidly researched the true story behind it and found out that not as many dogs lived as in the movie).

I haven't seen "8 Below," for the reason you stated. I know I'll bawl my eyes out.

Hey, I watched the first episode of Death Valley and it made me laugh out loud multiple times, so I'm giving it a go. Thanks for the recommendation.

YES! I will recruit the whole world into watching Death Valley! (I am currently at 3 people recruited, so only a few billion more people to go). You were someone I particulary thought would enjoy it, so I am glad you did.
