A Public Service Announcement.
Apr. 30th, 2012 05:23 pmThis week Hawaii Five-O and NCIS: LA are crossing over with each other. I am trying not to get too excited ahead of time because the last time they promoted a H5O/NCIS:LA crossover, it was a cheap rip off. Kensi was the only character who crossed over and she was only on the screen for about three minutes and even then, never with Kono. (Which, as you can tell, is kind of a fantasy of mine).
So, I am withholding judgment until I see.
But I wanted to make sure that you all knew this was happening. I know many of you only watch Hawaii Five-O and not NCIS: LA (and a few of you, the other way around). I figured you'd be mightily pissed if you DVR'ed one and then on like, say Saturday, sat down to watch it and realized you only got one part of the crossover.
So part one is on Hawaii Five-O tonight, Monday at ten on CBS.
And part two is on NCIS: LA tomorrow, Tuesday at nine on CBS.
This has been a public service announcement.

Date: 2012-05-01 06:40 pm (UTC)I would agree with that if NCIS: LA hadn't been on the air for several seasons longer than H5O. Anyways, it's CBS - they love to do the crossover.
You don't like NCIS: LA? I enjoy it. I mean, it is a serial crime drama, so they aren't overly complicated to solve the crimes and it is the same standard format you get on all those alphabet dramas - (CSI and NCIS and SVUs) but I love G & Sam's married relationship and I have the hugest stupidest crush on Kensi like ever.

Date: 2012-05-02 12:04 am (UTC)I enjoyed it at first, and watched religiously for about, erm, four episodes. And then I got tired of the "mystery" of G. Blah. Dude, clear-eyed American boys are NEVER mysterious. Sorry. Even when they end up related to Hetty (see, I caught a few a season or two ago, also).

Date: 2012-05-02 02:14 am (UTC)I don't think he is actually related to Hetty. I think she was the agent who saved him when his whole family was being slaughtered. Or something. Idk because I don't actually pay attention to G's storyline. I think it's stupid too. Who cares already.
But I also think Steve McGarret's storyline about his dead father is boring too. It was only interesting when James Marsters and Norman Reedus were on my screen and after that I was like, "Your blahblahblah bores me, Steve."
I don't care about plot. I just want hotties in fast cars, shooting guns and being adorable and sometimes shirtless. Yes, I am THAT shallow and I don't care! I watch other shows for plot, I guess.

There is NOTHING WRONG with watching for the pretty. I expect Avengers will bring a lot of that. :)

Date: 2012-05-02 02:39 am (UTC)I did like the reveal that the Governor was evil, especially because she was such a well-liked character.
Norman was in the pilot episode and he played James Marster's brother. So James takes Steve's dad hostage and demands his brother's release and the transfer goes bad and Norman dies. So in revenge, James kills Steve's father. But just the thought of James and Norman as brothers has me all happy in my pants. They should be incestuous naked brothers, while they are at it.
