Saw one of those memes going around - “Post the first line/paragraph of your last 20 fics.” I never post in the order that I write - my organization is mayhem - but I have this folder of finished fics that are just waiting for a final read-thru and some header info and I happen to have 20 fics in there, so that’s where I’m pulling these lines from. Eventually, I might get around to posting the stories themselves!

Jared was a pretty good roommate, Jensen had to admit that. He hung up his bathroom towels and rinsed off his dirty dishes and most importantly, he took Jensen to parties that had liquor - the good kind, not the piss-water beer Jensen’s friends always served.

19 more under the cut! )

I may have had to re-read some of these as I was doing this meme. Like idk what it says about me, but I really like my own stories a lot. Have a go, if you like!

So, now that it is the end of the first month of 2015, how about I put up my word counts for 2014? lol I stopped putting up my monthly counts last year just because I was so sick at the beginning of the year, but I continued to keep track of what I was writing, if not weekly, at least throughout the month. So, here it all is!

Numbers under the cut! )

TV Talk!

I haven't talked about TV in forever, so let's give this a go! Because I've had a lot of Feels about TV lately. Mildly general spoilers, but nothing significant...

The Walking Dead - It was an entire episode about my two favorite people, Carol & Daryl! I think there are parts of it I will have to rewatch again, just cuz, I have a lot of feels! That scene in the safe house, where they were laying side by side on the bunk - they were just fucking teasing us! And the thing is, I don’t even know if I want them to get together-together. It’s one of those relationships that while I am screaming at the TV, “Omg, kiss already,” - although in this episode I really wanted them to just hold hands - I also don’t need them to kiss, because they are just perfect as they are. My sister said, “It really doesn’t matter if they get together in a sexual way or not, because they are together. Even if this is as far as it goes, this is them together.” And she is so right! And I still maintain that Carol did it on purpose to get inside the building and get a better look at what they were up against. She even said earlier in the ep, “What are we gonna be able to tell just from watching?” The other night I dreamed that I was writing a Carol/Daryl fic - “The Five Times They Didn’t Kiss And The One Time They Did,” and now I kind of really want to write it, but also I’m like, “I could never do it better than they do on the show.”

The 100th episode of Hawaii Five-O - My only complaint was that I thought it was going to be ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’, whereas it ended up more of ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ - you know, “…and you were there, and you were there…” But I still loved it! I loled so hard at McGarrett having to strip off the layers though, but damn that man looks good. And the scene where they find Steve, omg, the way Danny’s voice breaks on it! Steve was fucking breaking my heart at the end too! I got all worked up over this ep, talking at the TV more than usual - (which is saying something since I talk a lot at the TV during this show). And the music video at the end? I literally said out loud, “Omg, why are you doing this to me? I love you all so much, you fucking bastards.” I have rewatched that music vid a number of times already, thank you very much.

Sleepy Hollow - My 2 favorite characters on this show are Jenny and Irving. And my 2 favorite relationships are the realistic sister relationship between Abbie & Jenny and the broship of Ichabod & Abbie. So this episode had pretty much everything I love the best. Sisters! And Irving getting back in the game! And, even though not a lot of the broship, what we got was adorable - Abbie tucking him all in and shit. My sister says it was her favorite episode thus far. It also had the perfect amount of MotW and Mythology mix for me. The whole Rosemary’s Baby thing is a fricking awesome storyline!

So…who wants to talk TV?

Quick update for you all on last week...2 ambulance rides, a couple days in the hospital, severe dizziness, nausea, fatigue, 6 different tests, 5 different doctors, 4 different possible diagnoses, 2 new medicines and now I'm home. Best guess is that I had a UTI that slammed into me on Saturday and caused me to pass out while I was peeing and then kicked in two days later with The Tilting Virus (tm). Some of you may remember when I had this virus a few years ago. I've learned the official name now but damned if I can spell it, but apparently it is a virus that causes inflammation in the inner ears and messes up the signals to the brain. If it is this virus and it is anything like last time, this is going to stick around for a few more weeks. My mom's been coming over every day to help me to the bathroom and get anything I need, because even though the dizziness is getting less, my balance is still really off when I try to walk. The nausea has been pretty bad too and the anti-dizziness meds make me all jittery. I'll be happy when I get to the point where I can at least sit up on the couch and type on my IPad for a little bit each day, instead of finger-typing on the screenboard from bed like I'm doing now. The only thing any of the doctors can agree on is that whatever this is isn't neurological. I passed all those tests and my brain scan looks good. I follow up with my GP next week, as well as trying to go back to physical therapy. I really need the PT after two weeks of being bedridden, but I don't look forward to trying to get myself together to go.

ION...I've been trying out The 100. Anybody else? I'm still making up my mind on it. Also, I am behind on Arrow, but Agents of Shield has been blowing me away! And I just saw last week's Hawaii Five-O and even though I am a Steve/Danny shipper, I am also a huge Catherine-girl, so I am having some feelings. Oh, and the new season of Orphan Black has been fabulous. Alison and Felix's friendship is my favorite thing on that show!

Recently I've also watched some movies - Tropic Thunder, which was pretty funny and had surprise!Jay Baruchel in it, which I didn't expect. It was funny! No 'This Is The End', but nothing is. I recommend it if you like Ben Stiller type movies and Robert Downey JR being awesome. I also watched Monsters and I really liked both the main characters, but I was very upset about the ending...I had dreams where it had a different ending, because I was upset even in my sleep. It was more a character driven movie and though I enjoyed it and really loved the world building, I still maintain that for a movie titled 'Monsters', it didn't have nearly enough monsters in it and didn't move as fast as I would have liked.

So. That is all.

I promised you guys some of my art awhile back and look at me deliver! Because it’s Hawaii Five-O night, so I thought I’d share some Danny Williams. I probably hadn’t touched my art supplies - (outside of the kids’ craft box) - for 3 years-ish. And I hadn’t used colored pencils in a decade. I actually don’t even own colored pencils, this was done with my mom’s set. But I was working on something else and I finished up and had a half hour to kill before therapy, so I was flipping through my stack of resources - (magazine pages, coloring book pages, odd clippings and some children’s books) - and found an old Charlie Brown book and thought I’d try to sketch something out. I thought about which characters in my many fandoms might look good in that style. It took less than 30 seconds for me to settle on Danny Williams because, well come on, look at the man - he basically is Charlie Brown. And his body type is perfect for it. I hardly had to change anything - broadened the shoulders a little, pumped up the hair and put him in a tie - Bam. It’s not perfect and I’m terrible as an artist being nit-picky over my own work - a hundred times worse than with my writing - but it’s cute, like Danny Williams and Charlie Brown. And it helped loosen me up for the next project. It’s like learning to ride a bike with a marathon right around the corner - I just have to keep pushing through until I’m flying again.

Rats, Danny Williams - dodger_sister

Embiggened Under The Cut )

In other art news, I was asking The Nephew a bunch of questions about what his superhero team - from the book series he is writing - looks like, in great detail, because I was thinking about trying to draw them out for him for Christmas. I have since dabbled in the style I wanted to use and quickly remembered why I don’t do cartoon/comic strip style very often - I am terrible at it and I get easily frustrated by it. But apparently I have to do the drawing for him anyways, because that kid is too damn smart for his own good and he somehow picked up on what I was asking him those questions for, because yesterday he told me, “Don’t forget, you’re suppose to be drawing me a picture of my superhero team.” /throws hands in the air/ I explained to him how hard I am finding the style, but promised that I would try my best and would definitely write him the Avengers crossover story he asked for, at the least. Genius kids can be such a pain in the ass - how did he know what all those questions were for?! My boy.

That is all.

This post is more a place-holder for me than anything else. Because the new TV season is upon us! And I want to try out some new shows, but I have to wait until they are closer to their premiere dates before the Tivo will recognize new shows - (my regular shows are already programmed in, but I put them on the list anyways, so I have an idea of what is coming when, even though Tivo will grab them for me without me even having to lift a finger!) But I did find trailers for all the new shows I am trying out and put the links in here as well, so if you want to see what looks good coming up this fall, check out the links!

Premiere Dates List with New Show Trailers under the cut. )

And my weekly schedule list, which gave me an idea of which shows will have conflicts. The Tivo can record two shows at once, but it looks like The Mindy Project and the new sitcom I wanted to try out will have issues with other shows. I could say, "I'll just remember to watch them in my room," but I tried that with Subugatory and I never remembered and it completely fell off my radar.

My TV Schedule under the cut. )

What about you guys - what new shows are you excited about?

Uh. It seems I forgot to put this up last month. That explains why it was still listed in my ‘word-count’ document. Oops. So today I’ll do double-duty of April’s word count and then I’ll put up May’s as well. Writing has been going really well though, so I am happy! And hey, look, this is the month I wrote some Buffy fic!

Here is my approximate word count for the month.

April, 2013
Week One: 1,000 words of Leverage AU.
Week Two: 1,800 words of Dean/Cas fic. Completed. (already posted!)
800 words of Christian/Jensen PWP.
Week Three: 1,550 words of Hobbit Kid-Fic.
Week Four: 2,050 words of Dawn/Spike fic. Completed. (already posted!)
Week Four & ½ : 1,250 words of Hobbit Kid-Fic.

8,450 words written in April!

Fics posted in April, 2012. )

And that was April!

So my word count for November was excellent. It seems after that whole ‘15,000 words in one month’ thing, that I’m suddenly breaking 10k again. I guess this means I will have to up my word count goals come 2013. I think the craziest thing I worked on in November was not the Hawaii Five-O fic wherein Steve is an angsty recluse and Grace is a faux-goth punk teenager (which actually was kind of fun to work on and I hope to go back to it, I liked writing Grace a lot)…but in fact, the strangest thing that happened writing-wise in November was that I wrote J2. I kind of thought I was mostly over that pairing and yet, I wrote two J2 fics last month. And they were for a fic meme, which I have only ever participated in one before, but this one was so inspiring, I couldn’t resist.

Here is my approximate word count for the month.

November, 2012
Week 1/2: 2,150 words of Dean/Cas Hurt/Comfort fic.
Week One: 750 words of Dean/Cas Hurt/Comfort fic.
Week Two: 1,450 words of Secret Crossover fic.
600 words of Hawaii Five-0 Grace fic.
Week Three: 800 words of J2 Schmoop fic. Completed.
1,500 words of Jensen fic. Completed.
600 words of Dean/Cas PWP.
Week Four: 4,000 words of Secret Crossover Fic.

11,850 words written in November!

Fics posted in Novembers past. )

The best thing that has happened in December, writing-wise, is that I finished The BFF’s fic! My plan is to post it during like the second week of January. Since I finished that story, I have just been writing a bit here and there on some Dean/Cas things I have sitting around, but not really pushing myself to hard. I figured after a 25,000+ fic, I could take it easy for a while.
dodger_sister: (fanfic)
Here, let's get this in before the next month starts. You guys, Idek...I started writing a Teen Wolf AU wherein Stiles is eleven and goes into foster care and it is so clichéd that it hurts a little in my chest and yet, it is beautiful. I have fallen into the Teen Wolf pit - who's surprised? Also, NEW WORD COUNT RECORD! Since I started keeping track at the beginning of this year, the highest I had gone was 8,800 words in a month. Last month I almost doubled that! It was that Halloween story - it just came pouring out of me like crazy awesome. That fic ended up being the second longest piece of fanfic I have ever written and I pulled it off in three weeks. I am still kind of startled by that, when I think about it. Of course, now that I know I can write that much in a month, I am going to have to up my word goals for next year.

Here is my approximate word count for the month.

October, 2012
Week One: 600 words of Teen Wolf AU fic.
Week Two: 1,200 words of Secret Crossover fic.
Week Three: 150 words of Lindsey & Cas fic.
3,100 words of Avengers Halloween fic.
Week Four: 6,100 words of Avengers Halloween fic.
Week Four and a Half: 4,200 words of Avengers Halloween fic. Completed. (already posted!)

15,350 words written in October!!!

Fics posted in Octobers past. )

This month my bizarre writing choice was to start an AU based off a Hawaii Five-0 episode wherein I decided to kill Danny, make Steve have serious angst issues over this and turn Gracie into an angry-goth-teenager. Idek. Mostly I am just trying to finish The BFF's fic in time for Christmas. I have written a ton more on it, broke through the latest plot hurdle, did a bunch of rewrites and even added a new character. It's just that I had forgotten how long it takes to write action scenes and I feel rather unaccomplished just because I haven't reached the next section yet. I have three weeks. I can do this. Right?
dodger_sister: (misha collins)
Last night’s Hawaii Five-O was like a fanfic come to life. Normally, with most shows, I would be like, “Are you seriously trolling fandom looking for ideas for your show?” but let’s face it, logic and realism are not things I look for on H5O. In fact, the more fanfic tropes they fit into an episode, the more I like it. Also, the more Kono kicks people in their faces, the more I like it. So last night’s episode was quite awesome, thank you very much.

In movie news - I recently watched Nanny McPhee and it was cute and fun. I have always liked Colin Firth and that adorable stuttering thing he does so well. Angela Lansbury was a riot as the great-aunt and I will watch anything Thomas Sangster does - that kid is a pro. I also have a soft spot for hordes of cute kids with British accents. The movie itself was fun and funny and had this great look to it where you could tell it was based on a children’s storybook. The coloring from the sets to the clothes all gave it this ‘book come to life’ feel. I watched some of the behind-the-scenes, and besides Colin Firth dressed up in the Nanny McPhee outfit (it was hysterical), I was also quite interested in the story of how the books came to be. The author, who was a crime novelist back in the 60s, her great-grandfather had a passel of children and to keep them in line, he made up stories about Nurse Matilda, who used magic to temper unruly children. The stories stuck with the children and they ended up telling it to their own kids and so forth. Until the author of the books and her children’s book illustrator cousin decided to immortalize them into a series of children's books - books which Emma Thompson was a fan of and thus turned into the screenplay, Nanny McPhee. It was quite interesting.

The movie though gave me several fanfic ideas.

*Castiel is a rich widower with several children. Dean is the groundskeeper. Sam is the tutor. Castiel and Dean fall madly in love.
*John is a widower. Dean is 18, Sam is 14 and Castiel is Sam’s 22 year old tutor. Dean and Castiel fall madly in love.
*Jensen is a rich widower with a bunch of children. Misha is the manny who tames them using magic. Jensen and Misha fall madly in love.

I’m sensing a theme here. Someone get on writing those for me immediately,. Thank you.

In final news, I just found out Misha & Vicki had a daughter a few weeks ago!! How come I didn’t know this? The internets has failed me! Well, it would help if I was paying attention to anything on the internets besides baseball standings but whatever. I am very happy for them!! They have an adorable family.

That is all.
dodger_sister: (childhood)
First of all - THE TIGERS HAVE MADE IT INTO THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!! They took the Central Division which means they will now be heading into the American League playoffs for a spot in the World Series. Also Miguel is on his way to taking a triple crown - that’s leading the league in batting average, home runs, and RBIs - which no one has done since 1967! LET'S ALL DANCE AROUND FOR A MINUTE! I almost feel bad for the White Soxs - they held onto first place for pretty much the entire season, only to lose it in the last week and a half. I tip my hat to them on giving us a hard earned run for our money.

In H5-O news - I just noticed that the actress who plays Catherine has been added to the opening credits! This makes me happy.

In RL news - I meant to post last night but I ended up having a house full of kids until almost 10pm. My cousin, the one who lives around the corner from us, is moving to a new house. She will only be a few miles away now, but it will still be weird to not have her right around the corner. No more stopping by on her way from work or walking her dogs past our house every day. Anyways, a bunch of family came to help her move and they dropped their kids off for me to babysit while they did. At first it was just suppose to be the two boys but then The Guy Cousin decided to bring his daughter by. When he showed up, he said his son was suppose to help with the move but he had homework to do instead. So I had a 12yr old, two 8yr olds and 6yr old for four hours last night. I keep thinking about that family at the church I went to when I was younger and had like 13 kids and wondering what the hell they were thinking. I was literally sweating by the time I was done - like actual sweat coming off me. It went better than I expected though, mostly because they all had each other for entertainment, which made it less exhausting than when I have The Nephew one-on-one and he wants my attention the whole time. They were all fairly well-behaved too, though riled up to see each other. I had to proofread the 12yr old's creative writing story and Idk what that boy's mother is letting him watch but that kid wrote a pretty dark story, I gotta say. I also felt kind of useless teaching him sentence structure when his spelling was so atrocious.

Then the 8yr old boy sees our political signs in the yard and decides to comment on them, because he apparently can’t believe I am voting for Obama.

In which I argue politics with an 8 year old. )

Off to reply to some comments now!

Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] sarahk_1963!! I hope you had a good day and here, let me you show you a video that will make it even better. You may have seen this already, but I don't think you can watch it too many times, do you? ;) It's like hand-porn done to music!

In Hawaii Five-O news...WTF and how cute are they? )

When the theme song started up, I literally said out loud, “Ah, the soothing sounds of the Hawaii Five-O theme song.” I know I am about to watch 45 minutes of complete ridiculousness and it makes me feel better. I am not ashamed.

That is all.

I am sitting here right now with the TV on low volume so I don't wake The Nephew who is asleep on the couch. But I have to leave the TV on low to watch the weather because it is weird outside right now. It is kind of blowy and stuff but it is also like really light out - way more light than it should be at this time of night and also green. Like really green looking outside. Very strange. And I am a little concerned because The BFF just got in her car to drive 30 minutes home.

I am probably jinxing it to say that we haven't had the sirens go off yet this year (or if we did it was during that strange weather we had at the end of March/beginning of April, so it hasn't been for a long while).

So the TV is on CBS and suddenly Hawaii Five-O comes on and I am just struck by how unbelievably hot all these people are. Just...hotties. All of them. I want to do bad things to them. Okay.

Anyways, I really just popped in to tell you all that The Nephew is writing his own fanfic now!! OMG. It is too cute. One of the stories was like, "Iron Man is fighting Lex Luthor. Iron Man is hurt bleeding really bad. Now Batman is here. He fights The Joker. Now Batman is shot in his leg and goes to the hospital. The legs on Iron Man's armor falls off." (that was a rough version from my memory, but close enough. After all, I don't reprint people's fanfic without their permission. LOL My nephew has fanfic!).

It is so AWESOME!! He is writing his own fics, you guys!! He draws little pictures on the front of the paper and then writes the title and follows it with a "This story is by..." And on one of them he even wrote "For: *my sister's name and my name* - if they were Hulks, they'd be my favorite Hulks."

You guys! On his X-Men fic I wrote him, my dedication at the top said, "If he were an X-Men, he would be my favorite X-Men of all because he is my favorite person of all."

HE IS WRITING HEADER INFO AND MAKING STORY ART FOR HIS FANFIC!!!

I want to squeeze him all up!! MY FANBOY!!

This week Hawaii Five-O and NCIS: LA are crossing over with each other. I am trying not to get too excited ahead of time because the last time they promoted a H5O/NCIS:LA crossover, it was a cheap rip off. Kensi was the only character who crossed over and she was only on the screen for about three minutes and even then, never with Kono. (Which, as you can tell, is kind of a fantasy of mine).

So, I am withholding judgment until I see.

But I wanted to make sure that you all knew this was happening. I know many of you only watch Hawaii Five-O and not NCIS: LA (and a few of you, the other way around). I figured you'd be mightily pissed if you DVR'ed one and then on like, say Saturday, sat down to watch it and realized you only got one part of the crossover.

So part one is on Hawaii Five-O tonight, Monday at ten on CBS.

And part two is on NCIS: LA tomorrow, Tuesday at nine on CBS.

This has been a public service announcement.
dodger_sister: (stevedanny)
Alright, a little late but...who saw the most recently aired Hawaii Five-O?

Spoilers for H50 2.19 Kalele under the cut - mostly Steve/Danny squee. )

Anyways, The Nephew is asleep now and I met my word count for the week, so I am going to curl up and watch some Psych for awhile. I love the kid, but he wears me out.

Oh...today we played Space Cops with our Legos and when we arrested bad guys and put them in prison, my Lego-guys would tell them, "There is no hot cocoa and no ice cream in prison, you know?!" So The BFF comes upstairs and hears me go to arrest a Lego-guy and I said, "Give us that spaceship back, thief, or you are going to prison. And you know about prison, right?" I hear someone make this sort of choked/snorting sound behind me and I didn't even have to turn around to know the expression on her face. I just hollered at her, "There is no hot cocoa or ice cream in prison!" and The Nephew goes, "That's right!".

I blame the internets, you guys. And probably fanfic. Way too much fanfic.

Good night all.

January was a really good month for me for writing. I made myself a very simple goal at the beginning of the year - 500 words a week. It’s not much but it’s way more than I managed towards the end of last year. My big problem is just getting myself to sit down to write - (once on the computer, I usually get distracted by shiny things). I figured if I just made myself start writing, odds are I would get a good flow going.

And it seems to have worked.

The big thing I did this month was write two Firefly fics. It’s been a couple of years since I wrote any Firefly. I thought I might have a problem slipping back into Firefly-speak but it was like riding a bike, I just picked it right back up. You know how if you see a friend or family member again after an absence of a few years and in five minutes it is like no time has passed at all between you? Writing Firefly is like that - it’s like coming home for me.

I also wrote a pairing in SPN that I had never tried before, Dean/Gabriel, and a really dark Wincest fic that stretched my writing beyond my comfort zone, which is always fun and interesting.

My word count for January 2012, as well as a look back at Fic of Januarys Past. )

I think the next thing I post will probably be the Jayne/Mal Firefly fic. In the meantime, I haven't written anything since Sunday, so in order to make this week's word count, I have to hunker down today. Like, right now.
dodger_sister: (bored)
I didn't have to go to therapy today. I was suppose to, but they canceled because Kevin went home sick. I told him last week he was pushing himself too hard, with like a million things going on, and he was going to end up flat on his face. He must be really sick though, because I didn't know the man even knew what a sick day was, let alone how to use one.

At any rate, it is now 9pm and I have completely wasted this whole day and have done nothing productive at all. I feel bad about that.

Let's do a meme!

Saw this floating around on LJ somewheres...

Pick up the nearest book to you.
Turn to page 45.
The first sentence describes your sex life in 2012.

It smelled of stale air and shoe leather and my grandfather’s slightly sour cologne. -- Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

Okay, so like what does that mean, exactly? Is it describing my partner-to-be, because it conjures up this image in my head...Moleman, and that's weird. Or is it describing said-partner's member? Just...NO.

Let's do another meme!

I saw this thing floating around on Tumbler that said...

"The cast of the last movie you saw vs The cast of the last TV show you saw - in a fight."

I ramble for a bit, because I start talking about Jason London, so I cut for space. )

Oh damn, now I want to see Matt Paxton and Jason London throw down. That would be so good for me.

So good for me.

TV Talk!!!

Nov. 3rd, 2011 12:19 am
dodger_sister: (television)
Let's talk TV!! Just a few random thoughts I have on a slew of shows I watch…

Some mild spoils for Supernatural and H50. )

NCIS:LA: Nell and Eric were adorable in their uniforms!! Awwwww. You know what made up for Kensi's all-too-brief appearance on H5-0? KENSI IN HER UNDERWEAR!! KENSI IN HER UNDERWEAR!! I am not surprised it was black underwear but it was very sporty. I would have thought the tough chick secretly wore really girly underwear. Not that I've spent an unreasonable amount of time thinking about Kensi's underwear.

Totally spoilery for The Walking Dead and American Horror Story. )

Death Valley: If you are not watching this show - WHY NOT? It's on MTV and you should start watching it right the fuck now. I know, you are all, "But it's on MTV." No, don't let that stop you - it's like COPS but with vampires and werewolves and zombies. And not like an apocalypse, but just like normal everyday life going on with these supernatural beings as a daily part of it. You don't need to know anything about it to jump right in - so JUMP RIGHT IN. Billy is my cop boyfriend and I know he is a douche-idiot, but god I love him. He is like The Todd from "Scrubs" except instead of being a surgeon with a scalpel, he is a cop with a gun. He's like...he's...I can't even explain it to you, but he is like my perfect man. And that probably explains so much about me to all of you.

Glee: Glee came back last night and Tivo missed it!! It didn't tape. Apparently it was listed as a rerun and lots of people missed it because their Tivos/DVRs didn't pick it up. Boo!! I wasn't that excited about its return, but still.. PUCK.

Wilfred: I recently found myself really, really missing this genius little show. I have quite a wait in store. I am really worried about what the ending of the season means for Bear.

Psych: I have waaaaaay too many thoughts, so let's just go with - WHO SAW LASSITER/ZACHARIAH?! Yes, Zachariah like Kurt Fuller. THEY WERE CUDDLING!!!!!!! IT'S CANON ON THE SHOW NOW, RIGHT?! Sadly, Woody (Kurt Fuller) seems to be married.

Once Upon a Time and Grimm: I have started watching these but it is still too early for me to have any thoughts. I like to give all new shows like three episodes before I decide one way or another. They both seem to have good potential though.

There are a few other shows that I watch too, but I think that is all the thoughts I have for now.

In Sum: Billy/Me/The Todd would be my ideal lifemate scenario. Also - KENSI IN HER UNDERWEAR!!!

Just popping in to say that I am still alive. I know I haven't replied to comments in like two weeks. I've been keeping up on my Flist though and that is pretty much all the energy I have. I get tired so easily. I was actually pretty sick for a few days last weekend (doctors say food poisoning, I say the flu - but seriously, on top of everything else that has been going on - suckfest). I have been feeling better, except I get so tired. Sitting up for more than an hour is exhausting. And since the doctors said not to push myself if I felt bad, it's been a lot of laying around watching TV and going out of my head (body is tired, mind is still going full tilt). I've written a lot of cracked-out stories in my head while I was laying around - now if only they would magically transfer to my computer.

Crack stories include; Castiel getting kittens and becoming obsessed with dressing them up, a fic where Dean tries to teach Cas about women but it ends up backfiring because Dean gets super jealous, a fic where Sam/Dean/Cas hunt together and um...use corporal punishment when one of them screws up on a job..and a crazy RPS fic in a Mpreg universe where people are allowed to have several spouses (really just an excuse to pair everyone with Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

Shut up, my brain just works like that pretty much all the time when I'm bored.

Other things to report....sometimes I tape very bad movies that have some of my favorite actors in them - often bad C horror flicks and SyFy shows. The biggest hits on this are Jason London and Nicholas Brendon. Today the Tivo picked up two movies and I watched one this evening - my choices were "Fire Serpent" with Nicky Brendon or "The Prophecy: Uprising" with Jason London. I picked Fire Serpent. Only it accidentally taped something else. I ended up with "Basilisk - The Serpent King" starring Jeremy London. My mind was blown by this twist. Also, last night I was looking over my one and only Jeremy London RPS fic I ever wrote in my life, which I hadn't looked at in months. It is clearly some sort of sign. I just don't know what it is a sign of. As predicted, it was a bad movie but Jeremy looked good, so whatever. The evil chick was clearly evil based on her accent, though halfway through the movie she lost the accent and was American all of a sudden.

In final news - the most exciting thing to happen to me even if my life weren't lameass right now - NCIS:LA IS CROSSING OVER WITH HAWAII FIVE O!!!!!!!!! If you said to me, "Hey, Dodger, who is the hottest chick on TV right now?" - I would say, "Kensi from NCIS:LA...no, wait, Kono from H5O...no wait, I can't decide!!! But you know what would be awesome? If they were on a show together. If they like stood next to each other and kicked ass together and chased bad guys together and wore awesome boots together and rode motorcycles together and made out with each other."

AND NOW....THOSE THINGS ARE COMING TO MY TV!! (hopefully they will actually ride motorcycles together - my little heart would be so happy!)

It's going to be utter stupid ridiculous crack.

I am so excited.

That is all.

First, for those of you wondering - Papa Bear is home and doing a little better. They redrew his labs and his kidney levels are just below normal, which is better than they were. On the downside, he is still pathetically clingy to me and does not want to interact with the other cats. On the upside, for awhile if you put food right in front of his face, he wouldn't even look at it - and now he is coming and telling me when he wants to eat! They are going to give him once-a-week injections which we can do at home starting next week and we will just take it one week at a time. He is improving, now he just has to keep improving. But he and I feel much better. Thank you for all your good wishes.

On the writing front, I was working on a birthday fic for [livejournal.com profile] wolfrider89 and I got kind of stalled out when my cat got sick. Which is a shame since it was just flowing out of me like madness. But I plan on jumping back on that one this week. I wanted to post it before the end of the month, but that's a no-go, so I need to post something. It's almost the end of the month and I have only posted one story so far. Lame. I'm going to pull something from my Finished Folder, but I can't decide what. Anything in particular you guys want to see?

[Poll #1782184]

I need to make a full-on post about all of my returning shows - (all four of my network regular season shows came back last week) - but in the meantime...WTF WAS THAT H50? The very end of last night's episode...WHAT THE HELL and shit. Seriously. SERIOUSLY.

That is all.
