My birthday mathom to all of you, my dear Flisties! This would be the first fanfic I ever wrote. I was six or seven at the time and madly crazily in love with The A-Team. I told my mom what to write and she wrote it all down in my first diary/writing journal for me. I can't believe I still have this damn thing. And yes, "Meeting Murdock" is the name of the story as written in my diary.
So, here is my first fanfic ever! I gave it 'header info' because it amuses me, even though the notes are longer than the actual fic...still not the shortest story I have ever posted. Here we go!
Title: Meeting Murdock
Author: The Artful Dodger /
dodger_sister
Fandom: The A-Team
Category: Drabble, Drama, Gen
Characters/Pairing: B.A., Hannibal, Faceman, Murdock & Dodger
Rating: G
Warnings: I wrote this when I was seven.
Spoilers: None.
Summary: I ran into a van while on a walk, but I had no idea what would happen next!
Word Count: 161 words.
Date Written: Sometime in 1985.
Disclaimer: The A-Team belongs to Stephen J. Cannell, Frank Lupo and some other people. Not me. I was seven when I wrote this. Go back to 1985 and sue me then.

Beta’d: I guess by my mom, who wrote it all down for me at the time.
Author's Notes: I wrote this fic when I was either six or seven, in my first diary/writing journal with a cartoon of Mickey Mouse on the front. It is my first fanfic ever!! As with most beginning fanfic, shamelessly self-inserted. Also, apparently my mother didn’t know enough about The A-Team to correct me that it was Howling Mad Murdock and not Mad Howling Murdock. And yes, ‘Meeting Murdock’ was the name of the story in my journal. I will admit, as I sit here writing these author notes 27 years after I wrote the fic, that I still love The A-Team ridiculously and Murdock is the coolest!
One sunny day I was walking down Coats Rd. wearing my A-Team hat when a van drove up. The driver was a big guy. He had black hair that stood up on top of his head. Puff … Puff … Puff … He was wearing a vest and an orange bead necklace.
He said to me, “A… Girl.” (in a big loud voice). “Can we stay at your house?”
I answered him, “Why do you want to know?”
A man sitting beside the driver said that someone had been chasing them all day, and they had no where to spend the night.
So I said, “Okay … But who’s that snoring?”
“That’s Murdock!” they answered.
“You mean Mad Howling Murdock?” I asked.
“Sure enough,” answered a good-looking guy from the back of the van.
“Do you mean you’re the A-Team?” I holler excitedly. “Come on and I’ll take you to my house.”
…and that’s how Murdock came to stay with me.
The End
