Distracted By Something Shiny

Gilmore Gilrs fic! So, I made the comparison in counseling between the mother/daughter relationships on Gilmore Girls and my relationship with my own mother. Turns out, my counselor is a fan of the show, so we used that as a way to discuss some things. (You can read a bit more on that in my author's notes, if you wish). My counselor suggested that I write a GG fic to work out some issues after my mom had to move in with us for a stay this summer. I worked hard to get this finished before the new series starts this week, in case I get Jossed, so special thanks to my beta liptonrm for helping me get it turned around. The first of my Galentine's Day prompts! I haven't finished them all yet, but I'll keep posting them throughout the month. The prompt - Agents of SHIELD/MCU - Melinda May, Natasha Romanov, Pepper Potts, and Maria Hill (or any combination thereof) talking about the children (not an age related term) under their care. - It kind of went in that direction, lol. I wrote this fic back in 2010 for my girls for Valentine's Day. I always celebrated Valentine's as more of a 'all the people I love' and 'friendship' and stuff rather than romance, so apparently what this really was - this fic that celebrates the awesome women in my life and on my shows - was a Galentine's Day fic, I just didn't know the word back then! So, have some Sam and Dean observing awesome women in the worlds of Buffy, Deadwood and The OC. Enjoy!

My Halloween story for the year! 3,130 words of ridiculous fun Avengers fic in which Thor wants to learn about trick-or-treating and Tony makes everyone dress up. (I had to drop that X-Files fic I was working on because I've been too under the weather for that much plot, but I swear, I'm going to finish it for next year!) Yeah, so, Danny/Stiles is clearly my Teen Wolf OTP. I mean, I'm writing some other stuff, but based on how 95% of this story came pouring out of me in two days of delighted writing - I'm going to go with OTP. The title was legit my working title and I couldn't find anything else I liked and I thought it was kind of cute. So it stayed! 5,076 words of Danny/Stiles humor & romance. Enjoy!
