Distracted By Something Shiny

A few days ago it was mandatorily's birthday! So I set out to make my first Sherlock wallpapers ever! It started out a little rough but once I got back in the swing of things, it got better. I think each piece improved a little bit. mandatorily hasn't been around LJ lately and I know RL things are keeping her away, but hopefully she'll be back soon. I'm going to drop her a line so she knows these are here when she gets back. Anyways, I can think of a couple (dozen) people on my Flist who would also enjoy some Sherlock art...( so here's some pretty. )

Also, see my new icon! I saw someone posted a pic of Matt & Ben (the one with Matt in the glasses) and was asking for an icon for it. Since I was just saying to wolfrider89 the other day how I love Ben so much and keep talking about him with everyone who will listen, that maybe I need an icon. So I was spurred into action! I pimped the icons to the original poster and now I will share with you. I have a new uploaded icon titled 'Afflecks & Co.' which is good because it means I can rotate out with Casey if I feel like it. I probably won't, despite loving Casey too, because...BEN! Also, I just love how much Ben and Matt love each other. It's nice.

In writing news, last night I came up with an awesome Dean/Cas AU and I want to write it so, so bad but it is kind of heart-wrenching and though I take glee in the fact that it would make all of you cry, I also know it would make me cry. I think I need to be in a more serious headspace than I am capable of getting into. I still think I want to try it though. I just like to break the pretty boys, okay?

Now - to catch up on my Flist some more or to write more Secret Crossover Fic (the action has really started to pick up!)? Decisions, decisions.

I have made art for anyothergirl415's birthday! Looking at pictures of Shawn and Gus being adorkable together was not a hardship, let me tell you. I would have had this up yesterday, on her actual birthday, but since I am no longer going to therapy, I can't seem to figure out the date. I know how to count, I swear!

Why isn't Psych on this summer? They have pulled it from their summer lineup. But it's my summer show - my lj tag even says so! I know it'll be back in the fall, but boo not filling my summer with Shawn and Co.

Apparently I don't know how to tell time. Or know what date it is (or what month, but that's neither here nor there). If something is on at 12:30 am, then the date has rolled over...so 12:30 am on the 8th means that Jeffrey was on Craig (heehee on Craig) at 12:30 am this morning.

I feel stupid.

My inability to tell time has thwarted me again.

And since we are on the subject of things which I am too stupid to comprehend, like telling time - let's talk about Once Upon A Time. Who is watching this show?

Can you please explain to me if the Mayor/Evil Queen knows their true identities or not? At first I didn't think that anyone remembered - but if she doesn't remember then why is she messing with Prince Charming and Mary Margaret like that? What's the point - just to be a crazy evil bitch? She must remember the truth, right? Am I confused or are we not suppose to know and they want us to keep guessing about it? Because sometimes I think she doesn't know and sometimes I think she does know and sometimes I think Rumpelstiltskins knows.

This is SuperPretendNatural. It is a fan-fic-ish virtual-season-esque thing that baylorsr and liptonrm totally came up with. Basically it's just Supernatural with a few minor tweaks and couple additional young hunters for the boys to play with. Also, I love it. If you didn't know. It is possible, however, that having been hanging around while they were coming up with the idea, that I possibly - possibly mind you - was brainwashed to think it is TOTALLY REAL!!

Anyway, when they set up spretendn, they asked me to make some wallpapers for them of the cast. I was glad too because this was back when I had the awesome cool photo program - oh Adobe Photo Deluxe, I miss you. I made several variations, using the cast pics they gave me, with different styles of background. And I was just looking at them and I thought, "Hey, I can post some of these to the LJ community"...so I am off to do that.

Also, today I watched the first half of a bad SyFy movie called "Area 51" starring Jason London. He wore a military uniform, you guys. Uniforms - unf. (I saw one a few weeks ago where he was a cop, but sadly no uniform. He did drive a Jeep that he clearly stole from Jem though. And he had a gun, and wore sunglasses and a Henley that he clearly stole from Dean - so that was good). Anyway, his character talked about how he accidentally shot himself in the foot. LOL, cuz Charlie so would do that. But you guys! HIS GUARD DUTY PARTNER WAS MEG 2.0 FROM SUPERNATURAL!

So, some people on my flist have had birthdays in the past week and a half. I am slightly late here, but I thought I'd say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to lathan_lover, jacks_boonie and menel!!!! Hope they were all awesome days!!!

Relatedly, Elijah Wood recently had his 30th birthday. 30th!!! Can you guys believe that?! Do you remember when he was all wee and doing "Radio Flyer"? - (my experience watching that movie deserves a post all of its own for so many reasons). Remember him in "Paradise"? "Forever Young"? "The Adventures of Huck Finn"? Remember when he was in "The Lord of the Rings"? Remember...okay, I'll stop.

So, Jared's birthday was the 19th. jojothecr's birthday was the 22nd.

At some point, Jojo asked for a picture of Jared in his Bigger In Texas shirt. I'm a little behind on LJ. I saw it, thought "I have that", and then saw the post she made on Jared's birthday and realized she probably wanted it for that excellent picspam.

But then I thought, "Hey, it's her birthday. Who doesn't want Jared for her birthday? I know I would." And I have this wallpaper thing I made using that exact picture, so...
