It's the birthday of those fine hobbit gentlemen - Bilbo and Frodo Baggins!! Happy Hobbit Birthday!! This is the second year I have had an LJ to celebrate this happy occasion.

So here is a birthday song for Bilbo, but let us not forget that it is also Frodo's birthday too!

A few of my favorite things would be writing porn, my nephew, mocking Steve McGarrett, Tony Stark and the Dean/Cas AU “Asunder.”

I have written 2,200 words in the last two days. And it only took 1,000 words to get to the porn this time. I am very proud. That weird thing happened where I had an idea I was toying with and I had it pretty much planned out in full - and then something else popped into my brain and I ended up writing a completely different story. Guess my first idea will have to wait.

The Nephew called me the other day and said, "Okay, let's talk about superheroes. You pick a bad guy and I'll pick a bad guy and then we'll pick good guys and then we'll talk about how they would fight each other. Ready...go!" My nephew - a geekboy. <3

And now, I rec things. rageprufrock and mklutz have been doing these podcasts - The Slash Report. Have you ever been sitting around in the living room with some fangirls and you are just talking about some random babbling fannish shit and you think, "Hmm, if someone had bugged our living room and were listening in right now, what the hell would they think about this stuff spewing from our faces?" It's like that.

At some point these girls discuss Desert Island FanFic, as in if you only had three fics to read over and over again while stranded on a desert island. I find this weirdly funny because had someone asked me that, I would have said first on the list without hesitation is rageprufrock’s Asunder. It is a Dean/Cas AU wherein Dean is a social worker and Cas is a surgeon and they are friends. Then Dean has to go to Sam's wedding and he hasn't really talked to Sam in a few years and omg, I don't want to spoil things. But how she writes Dean and Cas and the way they step around and towards each other...it’s amazingly perfect and everything I ever needed. And there is this great damaged, yet perfect relationship between Sam and Dean, as well as that whole “family we make” aspect that I love with Bobby, Ellen and Jo. So go read it.

First, a very belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to 13chapters!!! I was going to write you some Jared/Misha - I had an idea and everything - but apparently my brain hates me. My muse is awake at midnight, when the rest of me is asleep. I can't get used to this new schedule. But I was thinking of you and I hope it was Made Of Awesome and All Good Things, darling!!

Second, omg, So You Think You Can Dance - I can barely stand it!! I was just telling Kevin how nothing makes me cry anymore, that I have a heart of stone. I don't cry at weddings or funerals or when a baby is born or at the end of Dead Poet's Society. What is wrong with me? The only thing that makes me cry anymore are Dean/Cas vids about how they broke up/split up the family/love each other so damn much. But apparently I was wrong on that...because now I also cry during So You Think You Can Dance. /headdesk/ It was Ricky, okay?! I just...love him.

BUT, OMG, YOU GUYS!! OMG. KENNY ORTEGA IS GOING TO BE A GUEST JUDGE NEXT WEEK!! OMG. ONLY LIKE MY FAVORITE CHOREOGRAPHER EVER IN THE HISTORY OF EVER, EVER!!! I was literally rolling around on the couch spouting off insane babblings and having a little mini-seizure right in front of The BFF because OMG! What if he and Tyce are in the same room and they talk to each other and they are kind of flirty and they make out OMG and what if Jason comes in the room too and it is a big threesome of dance-love OMG?! ONLY ONE MORE EPISODE TO GO - WHAT WILL I DO THEN?!

Sadly, Psych is not coming back until October. WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT?! Apparently, summer is a better time to premiere new shows, because they don't have to compete with the regular season of TV and they said that they knew the Psych audience would follow it wherever it goes. Which is true, but still...some of us are starving for things to watch this summer. It is a long, dry summer without my Psych. It is especially pissing me off since they were suppose to come back in July and they changed it at the last second. (omg, I think I dreamed about Chief Vick last night - everyone kept calling her Karen and I kept screaming, "She is the freaking Police Chief! You call her Chief Vick, dammit!!" lol)

I have also become obsessed with Storage Wars - I'm not even sure how that happened. But today, while watching and making fun of Barry & Darrell - (half the fun of the show is just me trash-talking out loud to the guys) - I totally proved that I can, in fact, turn every reality show into a J2 AU. Jared resells furniture. Jensen runs a pawn shop. Jared finds jewelry in the unit he buys and he can't sell it in his store, so he just gives it to Jensen. Jensen repays him a week later by helping Jared move some furniture into his store. Jared repays him by taking him to dinner. Jensen repays him by topping the shit out of him. The End.

I feel like there was some other TV show I wanted to yell about, but I can't remember now. In Real Life - ugh, you guys, too many things to tell you that are going on with my mom. I can't even begin to know where to start. But FYI, she is moving into my neighborhood next week, so I'll be bleeding out my ears soon.

Now, someone please remind me when Misha's web-show thingy starts. Cool.

ETA: Omg, I found Adam Shankman/Tyce Diorio slash fanfic. I miss Adam so much this season, but this has made me happy. You know you ship them too.

Well...she also made me M2 ART!! Because apparently the one year anniversary is the paper anniversary, while the 1 & 1/2 year anniversary is the MICHAEL/MISHA anniversary!!!

In Other News, I saw the final /sobchoke/ Harry Potter...( and I have four words for you. )

What did you all think of the movie?

That’s right, I said A Hot Pink Princess Tiara Piñata. Thirty-three isn’t too old for one of those, is it?

So, my sister went shopping for party supplies for The Nephew’s birthday a few weeks ago and came back to report that they had a purple castle piñata at the store. Me and The BFF made noises of delight and then we all laughed. After a few minutes of sitting and staring blankly at whatever was on the TV - (our favorite show - Without a Criminal Bones: SVU) - in utter silence, The BFF says, "Dammit, now I want a piñata." My sister replies, "I’ll see what I can do."

I think nothing more of it.

Only to awaken on my birthday to find a hot pink princess tiara piñata hanging from the light fixture in the kitchen.

You want to know something? I had never done a piñata before. Not just for my own birthday, but not even at anyone’s else party either. At thirty-three, I found that a sad fact. WHICH HAS NOW BEEN RECTIFIED!!! I totally put a crack in it myself, but it was The BFF who sent it flying and exploding everywhere while my sister frantically grabbed for candy. Then disappointed that she hadn’t gotten a turn, my sister proceeded to beat on the damn thing even after it was dead.

I have to say, beating things with sticks is a great stress reliever. Ya’ll should try it at some point in your life, if you never have or don’t regularly beat things with sticks.

Also, I think you guys all rule, so let me say thanks one more time...( for my birthday messages and LJ gifts and also there are a few recs for things what I got for my birthday behind this cut. )

Did I forget anyone? I hope not. Let me reiterate - YOU ARE ALL MADE OF AWESOMESAUCE AND IT IS DELICIOUS! Things happened over the weekend, I shall report later. But right now I have to go eat chicken and I believe we are starting "Life on Mars" tonight.

In the meantime, I was going to post you some birthday poetry, since you have been doing a poetry posting all month. Did you know that most birthday poetry is morbidly depressing and should not be read by anyone? (okay, a lot of it was quite good, but not cheery at all). Instead, I thought, "Birthdays are about looking back on your life and seeing where you came from," and my mind immediately went THE X-FILES! So I found you some vids. Enjoy!


Okay, well, I did find some X-Files vids, but also...hey look! Yes, that is Castiel, Angel of the Lord. And yes, that is Sherlock. This pairing makes sense in my head and idk, it made me think of you. I also really like the effects used in the video.

Here is an X-Files vid. I love this piece of music. It is "Kiss The Rain" by Yiruma and it is beautiful. The vid is Mulder/Scully and just gave me a nice feeling of nostalgia.

My weekend was very good. I did many things.

So, that was my weekend. I am exhausted still. But it was most excellent fun!

Now onto important things. I should have posted this two months ago, but I am lazy and lame and did I mention lazy? Do any of you remember this summer when I talked about my favorite summer soap opera - As All World Turns? (that I unfortunately stopped doing recaps for because of that lazy-lameness I mentioned above). As All World Turns is totally real and has nothing to do with my sister's Sims. /shifty-eyed look/

Anyway, the producer of that show has made a new show and OMG, you guys need to be watching it, like whoa. You know that quote from Glee where Holly and Coach Sue were all, "Hoarders is good, but Animal Hoarders is better."

Well, Baby Hoarders is THE BEST THING EVER!

They hoard babies! BABIES, YOU PEOPLES!

Unfortunately, too many people were afraid of having their children taken by Social Services - so they couldn't get anyone else to do the show and thus only produced one episode.

Hi. Look, I am making a post! And not just to say, "Happy whatever-holiday," and then run away again. Go me! I am also caught up on my Flist at last. Go me!

So, in my last post, I dared you all to guess what I got for Christmas.

My favorite response was from vikingprincess, who guessed that I got a miniature, housebroken, circus-trained opossum. I did not - however, this is totally what I am asking for on my birthday.

blue_fjords suggested that I had gotten socks - which NO! For the first time in nearly twenty years, I did NOT get socks. Weird. I did get my obligatory chapstick though, so...whew.

I also got...( check out my booty. )

( But most importantly, I no longer have to live in a world where Jensen Ackles does not exist. )

Also, every year I get the most gaudy pink ornament my sister can find. I have a sparkly pink ice skate, a set of pink block letters that reads "Diva" and a big fat pink ice skating elephant, among others.

This year I got a ridiculous pink My Little Pony ornament.
